Not to be insulting but starting over from ground up is the better decision. There are plenty of useful videos on table construction for a good solid flat base. As long as the table surface is rigid and flat saw horse legs can be used if done correctly. Actually saw horses is good for added table structure support when braced properly at 90 degrees to full length cross braced joist. Screw and glue jointing is my recommendation. Yes, many of these designs, however, are very large. Not that I can’t take inspiration from them!

Have you considered creating a second deck (two levels) connected by a helix to keep your current space and giving you more real estate?

I’ve given thought to a second level, however I don’t think a helix could work due to the steep grade that would be required to achieve the height.

If you had enough space for an O-72 helix (maybe even an O-54) the grade wouldn't be that steep.@@gbgstrains521
