To focus the lense, you need to slightly twist the eyepiece end clockwise or counterclockwise after fully extending it.

Thx for showing how good it is! Now I'm sure I'm going to buy this and have it delivered in 1 or 2 days!!

Since you need to change the focus the further away you are looking, it can also be used to measure distances! It also works well in reverse as a low power microscope. :) Apparently if it's not focusing correctly then it's not been fully extended, and it should pull out just a little bit more. Mine is ABSOLUTELY CLEAR.

Just rip that plastic loop off the side, that's probably what's going to happen anyway if you try to use it! But the telescope is magnificent. For camping and hiking I was using it all the time, with limited space and weight available I still want to carry this luxurious item. Most useful was for identifying plants far off in the distance, so I didn't need to waste my time going there and looking at them. Great for astronomy, perfect magnification for those tasty open clusters!

Late comment here to a 2 year old video: To focus - pull all 4 sections out to their fullest. Once this is done, you can focus by turning the entire 4th section (the one with the eyepiece you look through) clockwise and counter clockwise. It will shorten or lengthen to adjust for your eye.

Thanks for uploading. I got the chance to see a rocket launch in 2018. Incredible experience. I uploaded a pretty fun video of the trip to my channel.

With 30 mm and 25x, it offers an "exit pupil" of 1.2 ... it means a highly degraded vision ... I do not know its price, but with that lack of optical qualities if it costs more than 10 u $ s its price will be high .

Nonsense. It works spectacularly well, and you can see through it at night pretty much just as well as you can see with your naked eye. And the image is AMAZINGLY clear. You can read tiny text on a distant sign as if you were standing right next to it.

@@ALoonwolf That being the case, then they have achieved a scientific marvel with that product, breaking all the "optical rules" of "diameter and multiplication" ... surely its price will not fall below 500 U$S

The 1.2mm exit pupil isn't the main concern here, even with the cheaper glass (or plastic?). It's a cheap scope and you will get the optical quality you pay for. Your assessment of cost *FYI: As read in Cloudy Nights telescope forums:* Everybody's eyes are different. Some people will push their exit pupils as small as 0.3mm for splitting double stars in their scopes. It depends on atmospheric seeing conditions, the quality of their glass, and their eyes. Most people have no issues with a 1.0mm exit pupil, even with cheaper glass. So a 1.2mm isn't terrible, (although a 2.0mm would be optimal for most of us). The worse your eyes (astigmatism, age, etc.), the more exit pupil diameter you will want before you start seeing floaters - until your eye's maximum is reached, of course (5 -7mm max for almost everyone).
