I enjoyed this band, but now with the new vocalist, you guys are unlistenable. She has no energy, no ability to sing, scream and has no place being in the band. Novelists never had female vocals, so why start now? Vexxed, and Lacuna Coil, saviours, make them suffer, drown this city. List goes on. This woman isn't fit for a career in music.

The vocalist does more awkward standing without any movement, than any vocal movements. Seriously, she has no place in the metal community if she isn't passionate. But that just one issue of many, big issue, however she needs to get vocal lessons. Been listening to metal since 2007, as in actual proper metal outside of Metallica and Judas Priest / iron maiden. So i can safely say, she has 200% less energy than anyone who has come before her within the metal space. This is a live show, yet she stands around. Now tell me, why would anyone pay for a ticket to see you guys. All for you to stand there like a bottle of piss. Plus shes not even easy on the eyes, so, no passion, no looks, no vocal ability, the fuck she doing there.

some of the most underrated guitarists in modern metal. the riffs are strategically placed throughout all the songs, rather than placed in a set bridge/breakdown section. not to mention Camille's voice sounds even BETTER live than she does on recording. she will definitely get the recognition she deserves like Courtney from Spiritbox. I knew having her as their new vocalist was a good decision for the band haha

If you dislike this band now for whatever reason, I fiercely campaign that you see them live. You will absolutely change your mind and stop crying about their current sound and direction. The supremacy of their first records is undeniable, but this new era is just as elite in its own right. Camille is not Matteo, nor does she need to be. She's just as outstanding and exceptional; she's unmatched in her timing, power, consistency, charisma, engagement, and crowd control. She brings her own heat to Matteo's era; and with no shade or disrespect to Tobias, she also breathes proper life into the songs from Deja Vu. Flo and Pierre have massive guitar tones and play flawlessly. Amael is a machine and doesnt miss. Nico brought the thunder and you could feel it in your chest from the back of the venue. Even the merch guy was fuckin cool. They were all chill and accomodating af when we met them at the merch booth. It was worth every mile we drove and every dollar we spent. Put some respect on their names.

This was unreal, so glad the band did this. If anyone had ANY doubts about Camille's ability to hold her own with the old catalogue, I hope this shuts down any more haters. This iteration of the band is phenomenal and absolutely one of my favorite bands in the scene today

@@Prof.Pwnalot I disagree, not completely, but disagree: "old" Novelists (which I love no matter if it was Matteo or Tobias) songs were written with strengths of their vocalists in mind. New stuff fits Camille very well, even some older stuff. She's great singer, obviously exteme vocals isn't her number one thing (even thought she noticeably improved her screams since Turn It Up), but time will show.

When I tell you I was so excited when I found out Camille was going to be the new singer for Novelists, I cried tears of joy. Her performance in Cest la vie was one of my favorite songs of you guys. But hearing her sing some of the other songs I actually cried again and again. This band has shaped my music taste, my love of life, and helped me in the darkest times of my life. And you forever never cease to amaze me in the talent and technicality you all possess. This is easily my favorite band of all time. And to me personally nothing will change that. Just pure amazing talent. All of you are truly brilliant musicians, and thank you for helping me in the toughest parts of my life….thank you.

I'll tell you what. I wasn't sure how I felt about this new singer at first... But after listing to this live performance a few times I love her! Smoke Signals is giving me chills right now.

@@py16667 I disagree. Since this is a one off studio session, and they're not on tour, voice wear shouldn't be that much of a concern. It's the same as being on studio recording. You wanna do your best and throw as much energy as you can, if that's how "it's meant to be" (by this I mean staying true to the original). Like I said before, I'm not hating, it's just constructive criticism.

Ermm guys... Did anyone notice how chilled the drummer bangs through ten awesome songs without a single millisecond misplayed? This is really awesome considering the difficulty of the songs. Props to everyone in the band already mentioned, but the drummer really is outstanding! LOOK AT THAT GUY CHILLING BEHIND THE DRUMS WHILE HITTING EVERY NAIL PRECISELY THE WHOLE TIME!! :D

I’ve watched the entire video 4 times now. It gets better each time. Amazing performance. I didn’t know of the band before the new singer. Her range is out of this world. Just wow! And the guitarists are the best I’ve seen in my life. Thank you!

This is so beautiful. I was curious to see Camille performing older songs and I had shivers. She can do everything with her touch and keep or even raise the quality. And we are talking about Matteo and Tobias. This girl is so fuckin talented. Love what she did with Smoke Signals and Lost Cause, and the Ces’t La Vie is so beautiful with only her voice as well. Can’t forget the guys always doing an amazing job in this new phase of the band. Thank you, guys.
