It may seem that way but in fact they are already moving quite briskly out of the warehouses. I ordered mine two days ago and it is already sold out where I purchased it and I have seen it on many wish lists for this Christmas already. All in all things are not always what they seem.

A shortcoming of the UltraNova is its limited display. To improve the quantity of information instantly available to a user requires either designing an expensive subsystem and using a large display, or a simple design with the genre type and a table with performance and editing control. What I do not like about the MiniNova is its small keys as on the miniKorg. The mini keys were the reason I sold my miniKorg, and they are the reason I am not in a rush to buy the MiniNova.

If you hooked it up to a guitar amp. It might ruin it. The guitar amp is different from a bass amp. Playing a synth through a guitar amp is actually quite fun and interesting. If you turn on the distortion it gets even crazier. Like Skinny Puppy sounds.

This is the exact opposite of the Korg Krome review. The voiceover was well-recorded, but the synth sounded really cheap, tinny and trebly. You need to use musicians to demonstrate an instrument's capabilities, not an amateur "noodler". Sorry, still love your cannel, anyway.

  • @david130653

Sonically, this thing may be the best thing since sliced bread (not heard one so I don't know), however, for editing and accessibility, the Roland Gaia and the new Studiologic Sledge leave this synth looking stupid. I am fed up of "performance matrix" setups. You can see the guy trying to demonstrate the VCA envelope and twiddling away trying to get the knob to latch to the programmed value - yuck. Try doing that live and you look stupid. As for the mini keys, don't get me started!
