Great tutortial Kevin. We rent from nationwide anytime we have bigger events and the gear is always in immaculate condition. I wish this tutorial was around 5-10 years ago. Back then the only tutorials/training were all in chinese.

Hi Kevin, Great video, I am looking to connect a large screen and power it using 2 Novastar VX4S-N sending cards, these sending cards dont have the capacity to run the screen on their own. I can see on your screen configuration it gives you multiple sending cards to draw your cable routing on, how do you wire these up so that you can run these in parallel? Kind regards, Joe

(Sorry if I make some mistakes writting this message, english isn't my first language) Hey, I'm mostly a Streaming operator here in Guatemala, but I'm starting to transition to led screen mapping as well. I have people that will rent me the led modules and cabling but I'm planning on buying my own LED Processor, so I already decided to buy the Novastar VX600, but I have a question I couldn't find in the whole internet: I'm aware that I need to set my led's custom resolution to the processor and to the novastar software, so I can finally do the mapping on my mapping software (for example: Resolume Arena) but the question is: Will my pc will ever recognize the led's custom resolution on the windows settings? (Like when you use a custom monitor with a special resolution, like an ultra-wide monitor) So it fits the canvas perfectly, or will it always detects it as a 1920x1080p monitor? And if so doesn't it affect the overall quality of the mapping? because what the pc is detecting is not the same resolution as the overall resolution of the led screen? or should I try to make it fit with my mapping software?

do you have any advice if I don't get a green light on the nova star receiving card (on the program)

Is there anywhere in the software for scaling? Installed it and the image is not fittng within the borders of the wall. It is larger and off center

I cannot find an .rcfgx file anywhere in our systems and cannot pull the .rcfg or .rcfgx file from a cabinet module through NovastarLCT (errors). Any suggestions?

on the screen connection page - how do i calculate the receiving card size ?

i am try to configure a screen, Specs say resolution for this screen is 416*224 dots. But maximum in the configuration tool is 373*256. The original config file is not available. Any idea how i can adjust the thresholds?

Is it possible that the config pattern on port 2 is different from port 1? When I try this on demo whatever config in port 1 become the same with port 2. And if I config a pattern in port 2, the pattern in port 1 copies it.

Hello I have a serious problem. I made a mistake causing the controller to go back to factory defaults. After which I took the configuration from a different controller with identical setup, uploaded and now the screen is completely black. Before going black the screen was artifacting in may collars then it went black. Any suggestions ?

Yes, I managed to fix this problem a while ago. Therefore, my memory is a bit foggy. But what my mistake was restoring the configuration and not sending it. One way to confirm you sent the configuration is to pull the config after your pushed the config to make sure it's on the unit. ​@wedontcare7281
