Novak Djokovic vs Grigor Dimitrov - PARIS 2016 Highlights HD

Спорт

A 4-6 6-2 6-3 victory progressed Djokovic into Friday's quarter-finals - in order to concede his prized ranking he would have to lose before the final, and watch Andy Murray lift the trophy.
Djokovic, in the opposite half of the Paris Masters draw to world No 2 Murray, had already edged past Gilles Muller and delivered another gritty performance to oust Dimitrov.

    Dimitrov hits the ball so nicely, but I often feel like he's not a great decision maker on the court. Fed is so much better at knowing when to pull the trigger and flatten out a winner. Dimitrov seems to make this choice at random.

  • @potato-vt4xh

    @potato-vt4xh

    true, I see a lot of inspiration from fed in Dimitrov's game but he's techniques still not as aggressive as Federer, he doesn't take the ball early, he doesn't take risks and he doesn't come to the net. Plus Dimitrov's plays are too predictable, I can basically predict every shot he's going to play, and so could nole as he is always leaning towards the side Dimitrov hits to.

    @@potato-vt4xh Fed is constantly changing since Rafa came up. Some patches he was unber-agressive using the sneak attack but for the last two years actually not as much as his backhand improved. Dimitrov's talent is undeniable, but not with the understanding of tennis of the big 3

    Disagree a bit on the dimi fed comparison. Fed's simply can see what's going to happen way earlier than most players. That's more to do with innate talent. This allows him to have ridiculous timing (to hit the ball early). I really don't like when people say Fed's smart. He's not, he's ok, but he can think faster on his feet than most, but he makes dumb decisions when not playing at speed (he's said it a hundred times on tv, he plays at speed because most suck at it). Lucky for Feds tennis rewards speed, and it look damn good too. Dimi's shots just look good, thats it, and as many have said he's not hitting the ball that early. Dimi's talented at hitting the ball "nicely" and moving, but that's about it.

    Weak backhand ...lacks the push other great single handers have ...mainly due to his wrist dropping down while hitting the backhand just like we do in a normal forehand... The backhand as a result loses the drive and gets a lot more spinnier which at times doesn't help when going for the kill

    The one handed backhand makes it way harder...every time he’s pulled out wide on that wing he has to slice or throw up a lob which gives Djokovic and other top pros the advantage. Serve isn’t big enough to make up for it, so it’s hard. He’s super disciplined and driven but it’s just hard to beat the big three, Delpo, theim, and all of these amazing players weak in and week out

    Make that 6 hours a day plus fitness. You should also find a good instructor. You should be realistic about your physical abilities: sense of rhythm, footwork, quickness, reactions... Ah, almost forgot, you need a lot of money for equipment, tournaments, lessons...You must know that if you are not in the top 50 you will not be able to make a living off tennis. I know some very very good and fully dedicated players who never made it in the top 2000. Yet, I am not in the top 2000 in my profession but I make a very good living. So, yes, do not quit school.
