Novak won 3 Grand Slams, played the final of the 4. and frankly it was not his day orbthe best game rhat day in Wimbledon, so at the end of the year he was burned out. Simple. Too much preasure playing for his country, different responsibility playing as a team...

Djokovic already said after he beat Hurkacz 2-1 that he won't be supporting Sinner against Rune. Djokovic haters wanted to mock him as his fate depending on Sinner. But he didn't give them the chance to mock him. 😂

I am a Novak fan and a Serbian but if you honestly believe that Novak did not want Sinner to win or wasn't rooting for him you are either delusional , stupid or crazy or all of the above . Sinner shot himself in the foot with that win against Rune , and of course I am glad that it happened but it is what happened . He likely would have won the tournament had he lost to Rune in the round robin stage , no guarantees of course but he certainly would be the favorite , This way he gave Novak a second life and Novak being Novak made him pay dearly by not only beating him in the final but also becoming the sole ATP Finals record holder . Sinner's Davis Cup win means little compared to winning the ATP Finals .
