Love these things! I put one in an insulated 5 gallon bucket DWC and it keeps my temps between 65F and 68F with an inkbird controller. Can't seem to find them anymore though. They're out of stock everywhere and emailing the manufacturer only results in an internal server error on their side. Do you know if they've been discontinued?

I installed a Nova Tec probe on the reservoir of my 16 site EZ Clone system. Also added the temperature controller and a Bluelab Guardian monitor. Typically see roots in 3-5 days, transplantable clones in 7-10 days. Works too good. You can still find them out there in circulation.

It would make more sense if they used a power magnet so it could go on the side of the tank. I made my own before. The problem I had with it. Is that when it turned off the little device that cool it eventually got hot.. While the other side (cold) didn't work.. So it was something to think about. If the cold fails then your in a world of hurt of that gets your tank very hot..

I live in a hot and humid country where ambient temp is 86~89+f, if i have a axolotl tank in my bedroom and need the temp around 66f would this help at all? thanks

I have the controller but I thought it would be just to buy a digital display outlet on/off ...but what begs the question...the part... where you said the cooling fan runs 24/7 ... does it with the controller (shown in video) it being the fan, does it run the fan without cooling the actual probe? Or does it cut all power like a thermal outlet? You know if you used that instead of the "controller" in the video of yours...

These types of peltier chip "chillers" have been around for more than 20 years. They were a novelty waste of money then just I expect them to be now.

I had two on a 20 gallon tank. One on each end of my HOB fuge! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

These probes suck for aquariums unless you install the probe in a separate manifold and pump the aquarium water through the manifold. For what they cost, you can get a used real chiller or a cheapo Amazon peltier chiller with a cooling bank, power supply, and temperature controller. Chilled Solutions offers a model that has a decent passive chiller design, with instead of a stationary probe.

You install these guys on a HOB. Also the price on these guys is beyond stupid. They really think people will be stupid to buy them because of the words reef nano and chiller. Its like how ecotech can overcharge because it's ecotech, but at least they have a solid reputation.
