​@@maximummoney8024 it's a good enough feature to have for those who need it. It is better to have something and not use it than need it and not have it. I personally only shoot in 1080 60p for that balance of quality and the ability to switch all lenses while recording.

@@maximummoney8024 nah iphone 14 pro max is average at best. Even if it takes a while for social media to support 8k. It's still great to watch 8k videos on your phone. S23 ultra camera and video is just leagues above iphone 14 pro max right now

As I'm not a fan of the Nothing brand, I will have to admit, I prefer these pictures taken on Nothing phone 2 than rather at other big brands because it looks almost like DSLR shots taken with the processing. Hope to see the Nothing phone 3 in the future. (I am honestly a Honor fan)

I was just going to say the same, but you beat me to it . I don't own any of the devices , but I prefer the photos produced by the Nothing phone - just my personal preference. I dabble in photography and own a few dedicated cameras

phone 2 looks insanely good, needs some fine tuning but it has potential to be a top 5 camera phone if they add a telephoto on phone 3

For the price and specs it is super impressive, sometimes even looking better than the others, nothing does not have the resources apple and samsung have, and their team is way smaller, if they are doing such a great job with what they have, they might be on the top cameras one day, i really like how consistent is nothing with the contrast and overall darker and cinematic look, needs some fine tuning with underexposing sometimes, but that's it for me, phone 3 might have a telephoto and that will make it even more competent, plus the improved precessing, processor and maybe new camera sensors

I appreciate what you're doing, trying to be as fair as possible, but somehow, I still get the feeling like your comparison videos have subjectivity in them. There are also times when you choose other photos and videos from the best ones for no apparent reason other than your personal preference. One major example here is the Portrait photo of you with your microphone. Clearly, the iPhone messed up when it blurred out the microphone stand, thinking it was a part of your background through the gaps between your arm and body. The Galaxy did the best there and somehow, you chose the iPhone. And before someone says I have a bias, I don't. I use both the 14 Pro Max and the S23 Ultra, and I will say this with 100% objectivity - the S23 Ultra is superior. Even on videos (stabilization, color science and overall quality)

We respect all comments! What you say isn't a problem though - there has to be subjectivity when reviewing photos. It is not an objective science. Still though, hearing you say the S23 Ultra is better than the iPhone in videos isn't really inspiring much confidence. 😂

Since I use both, that's how I can confidently say that the S23U is better, even. on videos, cause that's what I experience from using them day-to-day

Great comparison again, I only miss more nature / landscape photos. People (ok, we) make a lot of photos while hiking, on holidays, biking, etc, and those photos also often differ e.g. on my Samsung and my wife's iPhone or on my kid's Xiaomi.. (yeah, tell me about ecosystem).

OnePlus 11 and nothing phone 2 would be good comparison both has same imx890 sensor

the nothing phone(2) for me does perfectly fine with video stablisation, may be a bad unit or haven't gotten the software patch

Why isit that most pics/videos are actually nicer on the NP2... Bright doesn't necessarily nicer... A darker pics with less noise are generally better then making night photos looks like morning...

I think you need to do some user settings on all those phones before testing. Because as S23 user, there is little settings that improving camera quality, skin tones and naturality.

You can tell that he has some kind of deal with Apple to always slightly favour their products, like the first night photo with the light. The iPhone crushed any kind of detail and had tonnes of noise but somehow that was the best one,

I am confident, they'll become one of the powerful company in the future in the next 2-3 years as they're addressing the basics of design, build quality and camera and it's evolving. All credits to Carl - he is young and energetic and he will beat iPhone in the next couple of years in my view with a great flagship killer. iPhone will sustain, however they can't match the design experiments of Nothing phone, that is focussing on hardware, OS and software as it's a holistic approach. I believe this flagship is here to stay and it's going to be the no.1 seller in the next 1-2 years. I wish he is from Bharat! or atleast one of our youths will be inspired by his hard work and dedication. JaiHind!!!

There was a small mistake in the first version.

Since the Nothing’s team will only have to optimise the software for couple of phones, I hope they will keep on improving with software updates.

Watched and am still trying to figure out how Samsung came on top with video when they were ahead in points? (Love my s23 ultra, but to my eyes iphone is better on video)
