i mean, it isn't? remember how many features and things in general you get for these. you get GOOD camera's advanced software. unlimited apps with unlimited features you could want. if you only want to text and make calls and maybe use some basic apps then those phones will obviously cost much less

I love so much stuff on this phone, the design, simplicity, OS and good specs without being overkill. I'm searching for a new phone since the battery on my current one is terrible by now, but those photos compared with Pixel 7 damn... and the price range at least in Europe is very close to a flagship price, it's a shame but for that reason I'm out. Who knows if until the Pixel 8 comes out they will be able to improve the camera software and when the price drops in a deal, then yes.

Finally got my hands on this phone!. I really love nothing's branding & their unique design choices. I was willing to give up a couple of features for it. I was still skeptical that it will just be show piece instead of being useful. But after using it I totally vouch for nothing.This phone has so much personality, it fast & smooth if you're upgrading from a mid-ranger its just crazy. Only thing I found that's a bit of a compromise is the camera. Its very good but not impressive especially considering the price.

You unboxed the device with the CEO of the company. I will never expect anything bad from you about the device. I mean, the overall review will always sound positive.

I've been using the monochrome app theme for a long time...using smart launcher with adaptive icon... and it is actually effective...and it being built in means a lot of people would be benefited from it without being tech savy

Same, i use Nova launcher with the LineX pack (Green, because it's my favourite color) and i absolutely love it, causes so much less distractions and doomscrolling

The only problem for a lot of companies for people like me, a person living in South Africa is that most of these phones are not even an option to get if you want an easy life. For example for the last few years, I have been importing the Google Pixels for my son, but this means even getting a case is real planning since you have to import that, and the worry is always if the phone ever break, you might struggle to fix it. This is what has caused Apple, Samsung and Huawei to be the leaders in some countries, it's simply out of the difficulty to acquire these phones.

from my experience as a product manager, when it comes to giving users options, the fewer the better. I love android, and I find it awesome that I can control every aspect about it. That is because I am a tech savvy, but when it comes to majority of users, it would be overwhelming to be bombarded with tons of features and options! It makes sense to give users basic popular options, but if you need more options, come on, you have an android phone. slap an app on that that gives you that specific option.

I totally agree with the monochrome point which helps in restricting the aimless scrolling of the phone. It’ll take time for vast majority of people to understand it but the vision is really good. 👍

As someone who works from home, and gets distracted easily, the Glyph system is one of the best ways for me to flip over the phone, avoid distractions, but won't be constantly checking my phone for works issues everytime I get a notification. It's an out of sight, out of mind situation that really benefits the notification anxiety I would get when receiving a notification.

I've been using this for about a week now and I feel that it has been made with a lot of love, specially the software, down to every minute details it's like the sounds the animation even the back indicator, everything is so well done. I have used 13 and 14 pros but I have never seen anything this good man. This phone is just something else. Totally a no brainer for a minimalist

@@amanstark the camera is great when lighting is good but it's okay in low light while capturing human subject great or capturing landscape, use palma filter for very vibrant pics, it's definitely better than based iPhone but not as good as Pro or Pro Max

Including the Top Tier chip from last year is an incredibly good idea, it will outperform literally any other chip that's not the Top Tier from this year and it saves cost. Flagship chips usually last way longer too!

Snapdragon 855 in my 2019 OnePlus 7 Pro still blazing fast for anything. Processors don't matter anymore. Haven't done for years now. Literally nothing takes advantage of even 4 year old processors.

10:12 i noticed this in the laptop comparison video too [Mac vs Windows - Who Wins in 2023?]. either the wrong audio source is being used, or the mic isn't configured properly. binaural audio should sound more directional than that

Your video production quality has gotten to a point where even if I try watching another review because it came up in a search result, I wonder what you would have produced on the subject, and that's that. No more hopping once a user lands on your production.

Nice content, the nothing phone 2 is really a very impressive phone can you get a lot of bang for your buck, but I do feel like 1+ before as you pointed out the camera is where they compromise clearly, but one can just download the Gcam apk to sort out the camera issue somewhat, but I’m very impressed that nothing. OS is pretty much like the pixel now we have their own spin on things, just like 1+ in the old days.

I've had my Nothing Phone 1 for six months now I was lucky enough to get in on the Beta program that they offered us here in U.S and I must say this phone runs flawlessly mid-range specs and price with the flagship feel it was the best $299 I've ever spent for a device highly recommend this Phone. Can't wait to see you enough to get the nothing phone to I can imagine how good that phone is going to be with the upgraded specs

The Nothing phone is evolving and has started showing its own identity. I would buy one, maybe when Phone 4 or 5 is released. That's because I don't change phones frequently ; just bought one recently.

Can I just say how well your video is scripted ?! This is your first video that I’m seeing and while I absolutely love every word that’s gone into the making of this incredibly informative and slightly “sales” oriented video, I would love to see you slow down on the info for the less tech-cuated(tech educated) folks like myself 🙊 Then again, great video. got the nothing 2 recently, best device I ever bought. .. As for the comparisons - there is no comparable phone with its exact specs of space, ram, chip and battery performance combo - and not just in its price range, but in any range.. This is not mentioning probably the best and most active software updates in the game and the design. Yeah, the glyph is a gimmick but it can be purposed and they will keep adding ways to use it so in no time it will cease being a gimmick.

I like the way how you put things across, Nice 🙂

I still remember when we used to have rgb colored notification led lights on phones which we used for multiple purposes. This glyh interface is basically a upgrade to that older hardware

ok so these are a couple things im surprised this glyph software doesnt do: i thought the whole phone was gonna be a flashlight if its rgb LEDS it would be cool to see different colors of lights coming from the back instead of just white it doesnt come with strange games for them(like i think pattern recognition games could be fun for the glyph stuff) a music mode with the lights would be cool since they try to match the ringtones and notification sounds. however, i see where nothing is going with this and im kind of into this whole i'd almost consider it "healthier" phone experience.

Heyyy valid points! I agree! The phone 2 does have a music mode btw, you have to add 'Alakazam' as a contact, and the option for a music visualiser will come up in the glyph settings, and then you can see your music being visualised by the glyph lights.

I am very interested in the nothing phone. I signed up for the beta for the nothing phone 1 and it's pretty damn good, but can tell it was made as a prototype device to get their name out there. It takes ok pictures but nothing as good as an iphone, pixel, or samsung. and Yes iphones have proven that great pictures can be taken for years with only a 12mp camera, but mixing good software with good hardware, Samsung and every Chinese big name brand has proven that.

I personally like the look and feel of the original Android, especially since Android 12. However, I must say that Nothing OS 2 looks awesome too! As for customisation, I feel like companies ruin the phone when they try to add too many customisation options. As is the case with Xiaomi phones.

For the next idea: nothing can put a small circular, or square shape screen near the indicator to show what app is on priority, this may highlight to multiple use of apps that on priority and knowing what app is indicating is a plus. And nothing can ofcourse use their design widget. This would be awesome.

Nothing's whole aesthetic is so good. Whenever I get rid of my current Samsung phone, I think I'll be investing in a Nothing phone. Very cool.

I was gutted to hear about the camera. It's the one thing I was hoping, would have the biggest improvement. Everything else about the Nothing Phone 2 is great.

Yeah I wish they had better cameras, even if it meant going without wireless charging or the LEDs.

Gonna wait for the next iteration. Faced a lot of issues with phone 1. Since the old OnePlus gang is back....may be they're gonna iron out whatever issues still left and next one's gonna knock it out of the park.

Great review. This phone is blistering fast. A total look back on the older one plus phones. An absolute fantastic buy for those that aren’t really bothered by not having the best camera. For me smooth scrolling is one of the most appealing traits. This phone flys as does my one plus 11. The nothing phone 2 is faster to the eye than my S23 Ultra. Although the ultra, on paper is a more powerful device. But in real day to day applications it’s not in most cases.
