The symbolism of the song's ending is where he's telling her to keep holding on, but the angels are drowning out his voice and taking her to heaven as she slips closer to death. And then the breath at the end is her last breath.

The lead singer's (Jonny Hawkins) mother died from a long fight with terminal cancer. She fought tooth and nail to stay around for her daughter who suffered from mental health issues and drug abuse, the song Jenny is kinda about that.

my mom died from cancer at 48... only 7 years older than i am right now and i still feel like a kid... it was so unfair how she died..incredibly traumatic moment cuz i was 16 and she was my best friend... i cried my eyes out when i heard this song..i watched another react and the guy cried too..cuz his mom died as well... nothing more is an incredible band... its not contrived like other bands nor barren its genuine emotion.. only true art can induce a reaction so deep and personal

Fun fact about the singer he was the drummer first and the band needed a singer and couldn't find one so he stepped up and they got a different drummer.
