It's something he really did go through, with his mother slowly dying of cancer. Makes it all the more sad how you can hear the pain behind the words.
These boys are so underrated. I've been requesting nothing more on every reaction channel for years and so many people pass by them.

Right? I have been listening to them for years now, about 8 years 8 I have I belive
Billy, Jonny lost his mother to cancer. After she sought holistic treatment, religious beliefs she would be healed, she lost her battle waiting for her daughter to come. 'Jenny' is the accompanying song. If you listen to the last four seconds, Jonny emulated the sound of her last breath. Deep, passionate song about loss and how he grieved by writing this song to give perspective to her memory.
You should definitely do Jenny. His sister had drug problem while his mom was sick with cancer. So much emotion in all their song.

Kelly - Here’s a Jenny reaction kzread.info/dash/bejne/g2qDmpqNZKm4nMo.html
Every time I hear this song come up on my playlist it just knocks the wind out of me. Two other songs by them that will bring you to tears are "Jenny" and "Fade in /Fade out". I can't recommend this band enough to people. Not only do most of their songs hit you in the feels, but they have great dynamic style in their music, their songs are not all the traditional verse, chorus, verse chorus, etc... they change up the rythem, riffs, vocal tone, and most importantly... their songs play out like a story unfolding, which is fairly unusual in today's music industry. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Same here, the slow buildup to the crazy 'drop' together with those lyrics is just woah, goosebumps everytime
It’s a real story sadly. You should definitely check out more songs by Nothing More though they’re absolutely amazing

Same thing happened to me, I tear up every time I hear the song. I can’t stop listening to it either.
I LOVE THIS SONG IT MAKES ME CRY EVERYTIME
This song hurt me. So real. I remember thinking this over and over during the AIDS crisis, I lived in San Francisco. It went on for many years and I would pray save them or take them as I watched my friends disappear...
There is a short interview with the band about this song you can search up. Jonny explains how they rushed to the hospital after hearing she was about to go. I think they said they were on tour or just got off tour. She held on until he got there.
You should do Jenny, about his drug addicted sister relapsing around the time of his mother's passing. and Fadein/Fadeout about his father. edit: Check Chance Brunner's comment for a correction, Fadein/Fadeout was written by the guitarist for his son.

Fade-in/Fadeout was actually written by the guitarist Mark. He wrote it for his son who’s like 6 or 7.

@@chanceaustin_ Really. Appreciated, I didn't realize that.
I can't say enough good things about this song that I wish I'd discovered sooner. Impossible to imagine what he went through.
Instant click, instant like. Knew it would be good. Also, great live band. Tons of energy and skill
Hey, man, I’d appreciate it if you checked out some more Nothing More. “Jenny” and “This is the Time” are some great ones.

jenny is pretty much the sequel to this. addressing his sister after everything their mom went through
I have been in that very situation. I had to be that son to sign the document to let my mother go. The very most difficult thing I have ever had to do. To let your mother be taken off of support. 😭
He actually had to record this with nobody around and they will not play it live because he won't make it through the song. Johnny really went through this with his Mom.
This song absolutely destroyed me, my grandmother passed away from cancer in 2019 and their song "Jenny" reminds me of how my uncle took advantage of her/mooched and treated her like shit even when she was dying. Breaks my heart into a billion pieces, but I feel is necessary to help me process and not feel alone. I hope Jonny's mother is resting is paradise
This is crazy. I was literally just talking about this song yesterday.

This song will forever be my favorite. My father passed a year back from cancer and the ending gets me every time! Johnny's voice is truly amazing.

Fade in/Fade out is another great one about a father and their child. It's a great song if you want to heal from any regrets you might have with your father.
I was in an interview with Jonny, he said he recorded this in the closet the day she died. I this one will always break my heart
This is amazing man, best song and my fav band the last 5 years. React to Jenny!!!

You need to do fade in fade out by nothing more
Nothing left = Nothing More
She had cancer and in hospice. His sister at the same time influenced the song Jenny. But it was also mixed with the bassist's brothers story.
This one always hits hard. Powerful, beautiful, in a way inspiring, thought provoking, somewhat haunting. Not really anything I don't like about it. One of my favorites.
" I really hope this isn't from a true story"..... Bro. Don't you know that musicians always write from their own pain? I aint writing songs about my hermaphrodite unicorn. Artists are sensitive people that channel it out into their work.
