Psyker is a sniper, flamer and swordsman in one single sparky shell. Sheeeesh, that hot.
Love this gameplay!! I still take lightening in pubs but 1000% purge with mates
Definitely my favourite class. Soooo op once you get peril management under control and I love the purgatus. Its insane when you get a good roll and keep peril up around 75%
I got myself a 480 voidstrike staff but in my heart the Purge staff feels just more right. I still can’t figure out which I consider better but… flaming heretics is way more fun!

I much prefer the voidstrike staff. The unlimited peril potential, and being able to cleave through hordes is so good.
Nothing compare to a psycher DMG if he is protected by team and have time to cast anything not being robbed from all brain bursts.
I love the smell of immolated heretics in the morning.
I personally prefer surge but i am seeing why people say purge is the best. You can CC more enemies at once, do more damage, and it's cheaper usage of peril. i just love the range of lightning and being able to stun enemies from far. Or if a teammate is pounced i can stun the hound from far away and go right back to whatever i was originally focusing. If i do get too much peril, i can switch to force sword which can also CC a horde with push and have, essentially, infinite blocking from the "block with peril" trait
how do i like my heretics extra crispy.
How can you be 100% peril? I blow up the second i touch 100%. Seen more ppl running around a few sec with 100% but i cant for some reason. Is there a mechanic im missing or something?

So critical peril begins at 97% peril, which means you'll blow up if you decide to cast anything past that threshold. Any % below that and you can safely cast brain burst, even at 96%, unless you're using your right click to charge brain burst. With Staves it's not safe to let your peril get that high, so you should always keep an eye out and manage your peril. If you do end up getting that high, you can cancel the explosion by using your special ability.
