Note taking inside of VS Code

Dendron is a local, open-source, Markdown-based note-taking tool that helps developers work with notes like they do with code. Our mission is to help humans organize, reference, and work with any amount of knowledge.
In our talk, we'll go over the basics of how Dendron works and do a walkthrough of the core features that let individuals and teams manage tens of thousands of notes inside of VS Code.

This is exactly what I wanted since I started seeing the influx of different note taking tools. Will try it out very soon, so happy to see it's open source.

Dendron is kinda cool. But I am somewhat sceptical if having a PKM build on an existing app (in this case vscode) is a good idea, compared with obsidian, logseq and others

The primary way of using Dendron is inside VSCode. We're also working on adding additional features into publishing so that you can use it as a fully fledged web client

At the risk of making myself look a fool, which is not hard. A couple of questions if I may. 1/ How does this compere to a note taking program such as Tomboy or Gnote? 2/ Does any one know of a very simple KZread video that would cover Dendron, ie Dendron in 10 minutes. I have not yet installed this on my VSC platform, nor have I tried it.

Notion is much better: Both technical and non-technical people can write content, can access the notes from any device, permissions are very intuitive, has a ton of useful elements. I don't see any advantages here..
