Hi, I prefer(GoodNotes) digital format over paper. Reasons why I chose GoodNotes(digital Notes) 1.Everything can be searchable including handwritten notes.. 2.can add the information to the topic by creating extra space in the same page without need of addition of new page nor adding the stick notes on the page to add the updates to the topic,which happens in traditional notes making. 3.All text books now available in PDF format and adding all those to the GoodNotes can make our life easy if we want to search for a topic..however,it consumes lot of time to search for a topic even if we maintain index in the traditional notes. How I make Notes? Broadly classified Notes into Two..one for Prelims and another for mains Notes for prelims.. 1.First , I wil go through all previous year prelims question papers and jot down the topics and style of asking questions and nature of questions 2.Every Topic I will divide into 6-10 aspect’s depending on the topic ..For example MNREGA..1.what is MGNREGA 2. Why is it required 3.How’s it implemented 4.where is it implemented?.5whos the concerned Ministry and Departments 6.Who are beniifcaries 7.How funding is done 8.concerns I wil mentio n it prescisely 9.Important Points 10.Why in News …I will menTimon everything wry precisely 3.Also ,I will mention source Links from where I gathered that particular information ..Also can be able to Links To text books in PDF format that are already stored in GoodNotes Notes for Mains… 1.I will go through PYQ ..and understand the nature,trend and type of questions being asked and segregate the topics accordingly as per the syllabus copy..I follow Drishti Ias Syllabus copy as they segregated the topics very well .Accordingly I will divide the topics.. 2.Here everytopic ,If at all THE TOPIC IS TO BE LINKED to Prelims concept then I will Link it with the concerned topic in prelims note through hyperlink ..if needed I will copy paste the prelims content to the mains Note 3. Every topic I will deal mostly of concerns,issues ,challenges,solutions … For example..increase in tiger population ..concerns..1.human animal conflict..then I will add relevant one liners to that particular concern like how conflict occurs,recent examples statistics. This is how I make Notes

there is no difference between mains and prelims, atleast you need to prepare current affairs of 1 year (last year may to this year)
