Thanks for another amazing video. You have reminded me of when I got to spend a week, maybe 20 years ago, in Santa Fe, on business, and had booked one day for "personal business," a trip up through Taos (the day after the first snowfall of the year, in October, when everything shut down so people could go skiing), to 5000 feet elevation in the Carson National Forest, where we saw a big, beautiful, white-golden wolf, who was calmer as it watched us than we were watching it, and then back down to the desert, past Abiqui, where Georgia O'Keeffe made her home. It is one of the most memorable days of my life that didn't involve a major family life-cycle event, and I've lived 71 years! ❤️❤️❤️

This home in a mountain does remind me in a bigger extent of a so called Earthship and this has good reasons. There is shown a broad glass window with a big latitude. And under the window there are plants. And the sun shines through this broad window into the house and on the plants and herbs that are connected to the sewage water of the bathroom. And above the broad window there are photovoltaic solar panels. All these features of that mountain home are identical with the features of the typical Michael Reynolds Earthship. So I even would the home of that Nordic woman is a Mountain Earthship indeed. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

I love these earthships! If it were me i would incorporate a chicken coop next to the kitchen with a dividing wall and a small door to collect fresh eggs. Perhaps a small pond would work as well to raise tilapia/catfish in the plant beds.

I love the idea of earthships, but in this community I don't see even one square foot of outside garden space. Do these homes have huge pantry storage? I didn't see even any greenhouse production. This house would be suitable for someone who is slim, fit, and spry . . . and probably youngish. It also seems kind of claustrophobic for those of us who need lots of light and fewer but large rooms. There are some great ideas here, though.

5:32 This is an awful fire hazard! Gosh, get those cheap wood planks away from the batteries. Do better maintenance on said batteries as well. There is rust on some of its components. Renovate the room so that there are no flammable materials left in there anymore. Prepare a way to stop any fires incase one ignites. I don't think, the local fire brigade would be able to get there in time and help put one out. Even with all that realised, batteries can still randomly combust. And if they catch fire here, they will not only burn the house down, but also the entire forest on this mountain. Please fix this!

I think that since she’s been so involved with earths hips for so long she knows, has built, and has experienced the replacements for each of the weaknesses in this earlier gen house and is just imagining what it will take to have to replace and rebuild the parts. I think she also has a house in Greater World that is much simpler and easier to operate. I have the same feeling about my house but I am far from being over it. I can’t wait to fix and upgrade everything.

Do you have good air flow to get rid of the hydrogen gas? ( the by product from batteries charging.) . I once worked in a battery shop that had a wire over the batteries at about head hieght so that should a battery explode, all one had to do is swing ones arms up to hit the wire which started shower water flow all allong the battery shelf area.. We were told if we observed such an accident we were to hold the person's eye open so the acid would get washed out. ( for at least 15 minutes I believe it was said. )

It's not remotely "sketchy AF". That Community was built by the Architect Michael Reynolds of Earthship Biotecture, who invented Earthships, and has been there more than 30 years. And yes, it's been through at least 1 fire. The fronts of the buildings burnt but the tire walls were undamaged.
