I like that Doutzen almost in every video focuses on people around her. Whether it's her family, friends or people she works with. It's really nice to see all these interesting personalities!

Doutzen has such a pleasant speaking voice. Also that hair stylist is a true artist. People with a skill level so high it rises to art should always be appreciated and praised because they are very rare

This is so counter-intuitive it just blows my mind because I've always wanted thicker hair that had the weight and the sleekness of hair with extensions in. This is so weird to me.. I almost never let my hair stylist cut layers or cut into the hair so i can retain thickness in the ends which btw I never achieve anyway. You're making me question everything about the haircuts I've been getting lol.

I really do like that Doutzen says “It’s happening!” in almost every episode. So cute.

The haircut Frankie gave you is literally what I want and ask for every time I go to a hairdresser... and they just don’t get it. I leave looking like a broom every time 🤦🏼‍♀️

The Frankie diet/secret technique is called : “thinning” out your hair. talented hair stylists do it with normal hair cutting scissors like Frankie does whereas less confident and less experienced hair stylists do it with thinning shears (which makes hair look poofy and leaves it with split ends) For all the people who think this is too expensive because Doutzen is getting hers from a celebrity hairstylist: I have been getting this “hair diet” from my local Asian hair salon for the last 15 years. It is affordable and if you ask around, you might be able to find someone who can do it closer than you think. Tip: what kind of scissors they choose will tell you whether you should trust them with your hair.

I got awful breakage and split ends and fairy knots from thinning out with normal scissors. I have ringlety wavy-curly hair prone to frizz. I cut it myself now. Never take more than 5 minutes to detangle in the shower now, never had more healthy, shiny hair. I cut it once a year with in between trims. Hairdressers want to make money and have a job. I want healthy hair so I avoid them. Thinning is never! a good choice if you want truly healthy hair, especially if it's wavy or curly.

Jennifer Vo yes “normal” looking scissors are the ones you want. Thinning shears can be identified very easily and those you don’t want. They look like scissors with a thin toothed comb attached to them. If you google it you will be able to see the difference pretty fast.

Gecko Lia if hairdressers want to make money and have a job, why would they do a poor job? Their clients would never return lol. People who want to make money and retain a job do GOOD work, which creates customer loyalty. Maybe the person you went to was inexperienced?

Doutzen, I love so many things about you, but especially your approach to life and your wisdom. That being said, I think you should note that 'the hair diet' is something that might be great for people with very thick hair or just a lot of hair. Your hairdresser 'thins' your hair to take out weight, great for people blessed with beautiful thick hair, but the worst idea for someone with fine or thin hair who is always wanting it to looking thicker and healthier. I only note this as many fans will rush to their hairdresser and ask them to take out weight when that might not be the best thing for them or their hair! But I love you and think you're brilliant, please keep making videos!

How can it be that I love SO MUCH this little minutes with Doutzen? It has been such a good reminder of what really matters! I can be the low bun person and next day rock on some high heels! Thank you for the amazing personalities we get to see!

Recently discovered this channel. Admittedly, I knew little about Doutzen, but after binge watching all the videos, I'm now a fan. The family are adorable, her ethos and way of life strikes a beautiful balance between glamour and homely. I've been to Amsterdam so many times but never explored the country.
