The AJEX Remembrance Sunday Parade & Ceremony is an annual event in London organised by the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women. It commemorates the service and sacrifice of Jewish men and women in the armed forces. The parade typically includes veterans, serving military personnel, and community members, marching to remember those who served during various conflicts. The ceremony involves wreath-laying and moments of reflection to honor the contributions of Jewish individuals in the military. Cambrai happened because of two people. Ernest swinton the inventor of "The Landship," which were called tanks by Winston Churchill, the greatest supporter of the invention despite being sacked from the Admiralty after the Gallipoli fiasco.

Wasn’t first time. 49 were used for the first time by C and D Companies HS MGC at the Battle of Flers-Courcelette (Battle of the Somme) on 15 September 1916. Many suffered mechanical problems and never started, others stalled or were trapped by the filed conditions. 49 were sent, 32 started and nine finished, not an auspicious start. Cambrai was the first ‘mass attack’ and even then not properly used, with hindsight given this was a new phenomenon.

4 RTR - my team was one of those who took your tanks and reduced them to Armd sledges! Our sincere apologies. ES Branch 1 (BR) Corps later told us that it was all a cockup! We had been told we were generating vital spares for GRANBY! In 92 I spoke with the responsible Colonel. Marriages had broken up, people were injured, lads were beyond fatigue. But, he replied, "At Corps, we work by the rule of thousands - for every cock up we make, a thousand of you will bend and take the strain"!!!!!! Not our finest hour ...

Cambrai happened on this day in 1917. The tank was invented by an Englishman called Ernest SWinton, and Churchill made sure they got developed. Cambrai was the first time tanks were used in a battle.

I don't know the history of the army in England, but does it mean that Jews fought in the ranks of your army during the war? Now I wonder how it happened that they fought in your country and in Poland they died in camps🤔 I guess I have to read about it in history books. Great parade. and most importantly, it takes place every year to remember those who died not only at the front but also in the mentioned concentration camps.😢
