It’s among one of the hardest sketch to listen without breaking a straight face. I nearly burst out laughing mid-work. This is what people should be watching to understand how flexible Rowan Atkinson was in his comedic roles. Prior to the Blackadder.

Not going to happen. These days anything that you said or do about race will be considered racist or bias to certain groups of people. Seems like the more advanced we are, the more sensitive we become.

I was slightly devastated when I learned that in the "making of ...." production. But on the other hand, she and Billy Connolly met, got engaged and married as a more or less direct consequence of his being invited on the show and they are still married!

Pamela Stephenson regularly performed this character (who had an actual name) during the original run of the show. It was *_'Janny Shtrait-Pawuh',_* an entirely different person to _Janet Street-Porter._

I just had to listen to this one again. Pammy as Street Porter is brilliant. Atkinson - well what can you say? How Griff kept a straight face I don't know. Perhaps he didn't when the camera was off him.
