This isn't a remake at all! Completely different songs, except for using those two words Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Hence the name "Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya"! Not even one percent similar in any way possible. So original and remake aren't applicable here guys. But thanks for sharing the two songs. The oldie is a gem, a classic! And the Jawan song is a banger for sure!

Old is always gold ,one can feel imotions with old songs & nowadays it's all same rock music with using hit old songs.

This is not a remake song . Only Ramaiya vastavaiya word is used.

Hi Rima & Randee, First Let me congratulate you for 100k subscribers…., Really I don’t know the story of nargis thanks’ for sharing it with us…, “Ramaiah Vastawaiya” is actually a telugu word it means ” Ramaiah will come”… this is the story behind that telugu word... It is a matter of surprise how can Telugu words have become beginning (పల్లవి ) of a Hindi song. There’s a story behind it. When Raj Kapoor started making of this film,”Awara”, the music team used to go to Khandala to make songs. During such trips to Khandala by all the four (Shanker,Jaikishan, Shailendra and Hazrat Jaipuri ) they, used to stop at a roadside hotel for chai and snacks etc. There was working, a Telugu person called “Ramaiah”. Shanker used to talk to him in Telugu and give order to him only, not to anyone else. Shanker knows Telugu very well as he was born and lived in Hyderabad ,though they are originally from UP. On such one visit to hotel, Shanker called Ramaiah to take the order. Ramaiah signalled him to wait as he was busy with some other customers. As there was some delay in his coming, Shanker became little impatient and started humming “Ramaiah Vastavayya” Ramaiah Vastavaiayya” calling Ramaiah to come quickly. To his words Jaikishan started making tabla sounds on the serving table. This went on for a while, Hasrat got bored by this repetition and said to Shanker “only this much, nothing more? ”.then Shailendra immediately added “ mainey dil tughuko Diya “ meaning they all waiting for Ramaiah to come. When both lines sung together, they thought this could be a song, if continued further. After some time Ramaiah came, took the order and served. This lines and tune was told to Raj Kapoor, he was very impressed and accepted . He created a situation and lyrics were written keeping these lines intact. They want to replace “Ramaiah Vastavayya “line with some Hindi words, but no suitable line found and no one was happy replacing it. So, they retained original Telugu words, even though Hindi audiences does not understand its meaning. This song was super hit and considered as one of the best songs in the Hindi film music.

in telugu languge Ramaiya Vastava iya means will you come ramaiya. i just don't know what to say for new version . the old version got a meaning to it and it sounds much better. bollywood please no more remakes
