Love this song, it's broken into 3 basic parts: The room downstairs where his anger is, as a result of being abused; the room upstairs filled with his pain and regrets that he want's to avoid, but that's where his mind rests; and the room where his heart is, closed to the outside world because of the fear he lives with and can't get rid of.

There is a reason why DEMONS, WHORES, and Losers like JAY-Z, Cardi-B, Beyonce, sold out to their beliefs…. Partly because they are blown with the wind where the $$$$ takes them! $$$$ is their Treasure, money is their idol. They idolze where their heart is…. Money, success, status, etc…. Fake losers in life they are…… in need of saving fron there own downfall. 🙏

First time I heard this (right after it was released) it all hit me so hard... I was a youth pastor at the time. I wrote a sermon series, playing one verse each week The mansion is your mind. Verse/Week 1. Living room of pain - the place you let people in. You get hurt, abused, neglected . Room of pain. Deal with ange, etc.. Stage set up: couch. A white wall behind it with words written in grey like pain, anger, abuse, neglect, rape... Skit element: father and son arguing, dad yelling that his son is worthless. Resolution is to forgive others. When you forgive you set a prisoner free, just to realize the prisoner was you. (Lewis B Smedes) 2. Bedroom of regrets - The room you rarely let anyone in. It's the personal space. Where you hide your secrets, sins, mistakes, and deep self hatred. You try to paint over your mistakes, but they show through the paint. It doesn't fix it. Stage design: bed and desk. Wall now has words written in red: mistakes, sin, lies, etc. While preaching try to paint over with thinned white paint, but still shows through paint. Skit: pre-recorded monologue of a girl's thoughts of regrets while she acts it out, compares herself in a mirror to a magazine, acts out cutting herself, etc. Resolution is to accept God's forgiveness and forgive yourself. 3. Basement of fear - you locked yourself in to avoid things. You thought you were escaping from fear but then realized you locked fear in. You want to escape but you're afraid. Stage design: single Edison light bulb hanging over an old grey steel chair. Wall has FEAR written in black. Skit: I wore a straight jacket while preaching. Someone in all black robe and hood walking behind me. Argue with myself about staying there or breaking free. Resolution: trust God and allow God and love to overcome fear. Open imaginary door to someone in all white robe and hood, who sets me free from fear and straight jacket. Conclusion: a man has a nice mansion but loses his job. Over time he can't care for house and it becomes dilapidated and in major disrepair. Eventually he had to foreclose. A man comes to buy the house and pays what it would be worth had it been perfect. He then rebuilds the house, makes it better than it ever had been. Improved it. Turns out he was the original builder of the home and knew it better than anyone. After remodeling he goes to the man he bought it from and tells him that the house is his, and he gives it back with the only condition that he, the builder, could live in it with him. We are the man, the mansion is our mind/heart. God is the buyer/builder/remodeler. He paid for our sins on the cross. He can heal the pain, wash away the regrets, and free you from fear. But he wants to live in your heart.

NF says it outright in Outcast "I aint every puttin out trash". All his songs are meaningful, have a good to killer beat, and the best beat to lyric volume balance in rap, in my opinion (loud enough to appreciate the beat without interfering with hearing the lyrics). And he doesn't use any filler, every word is there for a reason, either for meaning, or to tie something together, never just to fill for a rhyme scheme. This is why NF is my favorite rapper. My favorites are Therapy Session, Outcast, Real, 10 Feet Down, Remember This, No Name, and Why. I personally would love to see you check out my favorites, however as others have said, his music is continuous, while they are all good on their own, the more you've heard what comes before the more you can fully appreciate each song.

Joy called me a cheater said she ain't coming back."

My mom had brain tumors my entire life..it slowly took everything from her, but me as well, but when i finally left and had a baby of my own, her mom (my grandma) dialed my number for her so she could sing me happy birthday, (she could only mumble sounds, but I understood), and 2 months later i got the news that she had died after 24 years of hanging on. I also missed my chance to call her to say that I loved her and to thank her for showing me what it is to always be a good person..I like your reactions Shaq, and I can feel the emotion from them because I feel the same way. What I learned from my mom isn't what most other people learn from their parents,it was how to be a leader to my boys, and how to never show them negativity

#NoLifeShaq In order to really understand his music you MUST go in ALBUM ORDER IS NOT, YOU'LL GET LOST IN HIS LATER SONGS! Because he's TELLING HIS STORY and will reference Back to another line or song meaning if you've not heard it YOU WILL MISS MAJOR POINTS. I've been following him since BEFORE he was NF. Album order is Mansion, Therapy Session and Perception. Do the singles in order of their release as they Almost ALWAYS a bridge to his NEXT ALBUM. Everyone says do the intros etc BUT without the content between them YOU WILL be Lost and lose out on so much. His videos often have additional meanings in them too. I hope you don't get lost like I've seen So many OTHERS. I'll sub just to see. So far, I'm impressed that you've picked up on more than a lot of you tubers. Hope you see this, and not just disregard it. Thanks so much for your reactions! I look forward to more.

Wow. I have autoimmune illnesses. It put a wedge between my mother and I because she didn't believe my pain. the worse the symptoms got the more of life disappeared. Friends left, distance got wider with "normal" society. My mind became consumed with getting better, get diagnosed finding a cure. It then began to affect my personal relationship with family. And more importantly myself. I actually heard another artist song today and thought I need to write it down somewhere that I wanted it played at my funeral. So those who might wander in could finally get how it felt. This NF song literally describes how scary my mind is. But how literally I'm trapped in a room in bed when symptoms are at there worst. If that's not tuff?? I don't know what is. Great song
