So unrealistic, right? In a REAL movie, they would still have had guns, but inexplicably moved into easy hitting distance to use them as melee weapons, and done so one at a time.

The guns were for intimidation. Only about 20% of men are actually capable of shooting another person. This has been observed since the Napoleonic wars, and become widely known in WW2.

41 seconds and more humor which lands than most modern animated sitcoms have in an entire episode.

To be fair, Homer was a professional boxer at one point. He may have been able to pull this one off just from being able to take a beating.

I've lived too long during a pandemic to look at 0:27 and don't think "that goes over your nose"

For some reason I was expecting him to say “Not on my shift” And then immediately clock out

The most unlrealistic part about Homers story is that he fit through the ventilation.

I thought they were holding the rags trying to stifle their laughter at him acting out that whole thing! Might have been funnier

I like that the terrorists holding up their guns at three people who have been bound and gagged, as if they could either provide information or a threat.

I love how that all have guns but choose not to use them when they get attacked

Plot twist: The reason why Homer was hired and still has a job at the plant is for exactly such a scenario. It's not that he's brave, just that Mr. Burns knows that he'd be too stupid to realize the risks or the probability of failure.

Nah, 8 people died. The usual line is always a one-sided ego boost like 1-0 or something stupid like 1000-0 so it's a joke acknowledging it wasn't a complete victory and that he was keeping an accurate count of wins v losses.
