This card is taking youtube by storm and Maymay is on trend!
Maymay is showing us how to create the hottest thing on social media, the Split Lattice Card. This is a fun creative card that look so complicated but soo easy to make...
So gather up those supplies and let's create!
~Measurements~
The card base is portrait A2 size that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" , you will cut off 3 1/4" from the front of the card base that will leave a front flap that is 2 1/4" You can use whatever measures that you like.....see the video
Lattice strips: we did measure these but you can decide what width that you like... we took the left over piece and got the following cuts
(1) 1/2"
(6) 3/8"
(1) leftover piece
Pickets:
(4) pieces cut to 1/2" x 4 1/4" ... you will find the middle of each strip, then measure down 1/4 " on both sides and then cut the angle to make the picket top... see the video
We left a 1/8" gap between the strips...see the video
Inside Mat: (1) piece cut to 3 3/4" x 4 1/4"

Oh my!!! Love it . Yes. The split cards are my original design . Thank you so much for the credit . You are the only one who actually have giving credit as long as I’m aware. I have 9 similar designs but planning to make many more. These has been part of a desperate attempt to bring something new to our crafty tables and I’m so glad you are using it and reviewing it.❤ I thought these designs were so silly and too simple. I refrained myself from sharing for years and then when I decided to do it they went viral. You never know . Love very much seeing so many people using the idea to add their personal touches . ❤❤❤❤

And thank you Maymay for your demo.
I love this idea so much I had to make one straight away...it is way cool. Thank you and also Bibi Cameron for great ideas and inspiration.
I want to acknowledge you for giving credit to BIBi, she is also the first one I saw creating this card and you are the only creator that i know of that has given her credit. That is what I call integrity! Your card is lovely too, thank you as always for being a source of sunshine!
Love you! You make it look simple for a beginner card maker. Not drawn out! Just love your site💕
I love this, thank you so much!!!💕💕💕💕
Great card, Maymay! And, I'm loving that paper pack.
Very pretty. I think a little blue sky paper on the top behind the points of the posts would look really good.

@@pamgalloway Yes, that would be cool.
Love this card
Lovely card. Thanks for sharing 😊🤗
I think if you stamped a house on the top would be a great idea too. Preferably one that looks like it's far away.
Very pretty card. Love it! ❤❤❤
Yes it was bibi she is an amazing card maker
Seeing this on my phone screen, the view is small. The trellis reminds me of vintage venetian blinds from my childhood living room. It would be pretty with a vase of flowers. Thanks for the inspiration!
I did mine as a picket fence with rounded tops. Put the card stock through timber embossing folder and ink dragged before cutting into strips.
Oh the banner! ❤
MayMay, try making the fence part out of the wood look embossed paper.. maybe use white then dragging the light grey distress or oxide across before you cute the fence strips...
Very pretty.. thank you!
I haven't seen this before with anyone else so I can't say who did it first but I sure do love it and can't wait to see what you do next!
This is very cute. Great idea. Thank you for sharing.
You could use Tim's 3-D wood grain embossing folder drag it for the trellis--real wood look!!
This is a really cute card
Another idea would be to ink the edges of the fence pieces in a light color to give them a little dimension. It's only 9:10pm here, I think I'll go make one right now! Thanks MayMay, I love this card!😊
Beautiful trellis card and simple with so many variations! Thank you💕🐬
If your paper is not sturdy enough place acetate or velum behind the trellis. It would make a great Mother’s Day card
Love this
How precious! I’ve got so many ideas running through my head on how to decorate the trellis. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous!!!!
That is beautiful
Thanks for showing us how to make a cute, unique card!
Beautiful good job!
You’re using my favorite glue!! The first one I saw they scored at 4 1/4 then cut off 6 pieces at 1/2 in instead of cutting off the whole piece and trying to hold a smaller pc to cut into into pieces.
Love this card. Besides the blue sky, maybe some grass below...just thinking!
So pretty, I've been seeing the ones that people have made on Facebook and they are beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Very pretty !
Awesome 👏👍💕
Maymay this is so fresh!!! Thanks for sharing ❤
Beautiful
Love this card. This video inspired me to go look up other videos on this card & all of the others I watched said to cut 5 lattice strips 1/2” wide from the piece you cut off of the front of the card base. I haven’t gotten a chance to make one yet (darn taxes!) but I hope to get to make one today! Thanks for bringing us this video & a new technique!
This would also be pretty with a colored card stock and the white fence. Maybe like a sky blue.
Nice n ez! I wish there was a gallery somewhere so I could see all the different versions & ideas for this style. I made several Lattice Front cards. I used wood pattern cardstock & wood grain embossing folder on my best looking ones.✂️❤️📫

Sooo cute! I’m definitely making this one! You’ve given me so many ideas to decorate this card. I’m so happy.that you’ve discovered flowers! I’d love to see more of you’re floral ideas! Thanks MayMay!
OMG Maymay WOW Gosh your Lattice Card is Stunning and Oh so Gorgeous.....a picket fence has my heart and this is what at first glance it was to me as when I grew up we had a white picket pence all around our yard and my mom had a Lattice arbor to go thru from the biggest part of our back yard to the back of our yard and right there was a majestic Apple tree...so YES LOVE your lattice card as it to me is precious and comfy cozy too!! It was fun watching your creative process and seeing your vision come to life...another Super Incredible Artistic Creation!! Thanks for your Outstandingly Detailed Tutorial and Sharing your Tremendously Terrific Tips, Tricks & Techniques!! YOU SO ROCK!! Joan Smith
Thank you for always making cards simple! This is SO cute. :)
Gorgeous card ❤
When I made these, I added a piece of gingham pattern paper on the back side of the trellis to hide the back of the flowers
Love it! Sooo pretty! ❤
Very cute.
Oh May May, you’re a natural 🥰. This card is beautiful ❤️
Adorable. Love it!
I LOVE this card!!!!!
Love this !!
A pretty Spring card. Thank you.
Very lovely and an easy way to make a nice spring card.
Great card.
Stencil some clouds on the top. Looks great though.
Gorgeous card!
So pretty, I like that you did your first try live and worked out the measurements and options. I think I would attach the gingham to the back of the trellis so it still shows when the card is open, the back of the stickers are hidden, the flowers on the flip side show when the card it open, and that leaves the full inside for writing and put a strip there to tie it all together. Now to go and put my thoughts into practice🥰
I like how you put points to the tops of the “fence” pieces! 😊💜
❤❤❤Love this!!
Pretty card
Wow that turned out beautiful! Now I want try to make one! Thank you.💜
Love it!!
I saw this card being made a week ago and I thought it was super cute:) I also love seeing new styles of card making:) tfs God Bless:)
I'd love to see a version as a picket fence on a landscape side open.
Really pretty. Blessings and hugs 🤗
Love this! Thank you so much for doing a tutorial on this card style. I have seen so many variations but you alway find a way to make the most complex techniques seem possible!! Running those strips through your new Timber embossing folder before gluing them in place would look amazing. Okay, now I have the courage to try this!! Thank you for another wonderful video!!
Thank you. This is such a cute idea.
I cut mine too, I wanted it to look like a fence too! Great minds think alike!😊
So easy and sweet❤
What a cute card. Can’t wait to try to make it. Thanks
Gorgeous card! You made it look easy and more stable than some I’ve seen!
Love this for spring!

I love to watch your videos; get so many ideas. I am already thinking about what I am going to do for my Christmas cards this year. I am thinking about using this lattice card idea but turn it into something Christmas themed. If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Super cute card, Maymay. 😊
So cute
Cute!! Cute! ❤❤
Hello thank you for all your demonstrations I am very new to making cards got a whole lot of supplies and machines just no get up and go at 66 but I love your glass plate mines is way smaller can you tell me where you purchased it from ty have a blessed day your day
That was really fun. thank you. Do you have a demonstration of a popup card? My grandchildren have a Birthday coming up in May and I would love to make them a popup card with their favorite items on it.
Adorable
❤❤❤
Really like it. New and different. Try a lite brown on the fence.
Such a pretty card. But I’m confused as to why it’s called lattice when it’s a picket fence. Those stickers are really pretty.

I called “fence” too but then I changed the name to “trellis” because is more generic . I think anyone can call it differently ❤❤

It would look beautiful if you could actually make it diagonal like lattice
I folded card in half and made 6 half inch strips
I ran my lattice card thru a wood grain embossing folder
Run that fence thru your wooden embossing folder

I did this and it reduced the stability of the paper . You can dress a basic card base with embossed stripes tho . X
