@@calabasher Yeah. I think Kreek really milked the situation with the Hunt. He even liked the event, which I thought was kinda weird to me. I am not trying to degrade Kreekcraft or to make him out like a liar, but he did go a little bit overboard with the Hunt, probably because it was the first non sponsored event in 4 years.

It's moments like these where I'm genuinely shocked that David Baszuchi(however his last name is spelled) is the same CEO of Roblox that we've had since the game's creation. This is the same CEO that was around when egg hunt 2018 was released, and the same CEO that was responsible for the past 4 years of Roblox. Yes. They promoted some pretty toxic games too. Combat Warriors being one of them. I play that game frequently, and a lot of people who were there for the hunt couldn't really complete it because of the amount of egoistical players that decided to be toxic towards them. So much so, that me and some other people ended up helping them complete the hunt.

Oh yea not to mention, the creator itself of combat warriors is pretty much a disliked person for most part and his strange, weird themes. For most part he barely pays his devs and builders for the hard work they've done, he has some odd feelings over femboys and females, promoting them to be mods or admins and the usual factor he spends most of his money on limiteds rather than just keep continuing on the game. Another worst thing is that he cant try to fix the lagspikes which honestly its a really major issue when developing a game which till this day it still hasnt been fixed ever since the chainsaw update. Some might say he groomed a person but tbh thats just an allegation.

I can understand that they made the hunt forst edition for the feedback of the community and new opportunities for other not so popular games. But they somehow threw that off the window.

If Roblox truly wants 2025 to be a good egg hunt, they need to do this: -create a base game with fun, quality gameplay, and an exciting story. similar to Egg Hunt 2018. -have the chosen developers focus on actually working on the base game. rather than put each developer's game inside the "hub" of the base game. -keep it organized and have quality control. don't enroll developers who sprinkle cash-grab advertisements all over their games. stay in contact with the developers and make sure the work they are doing is set to a standard. -drop the futuristic theme for once. it's getting old. nobody likes these lifeless metaverse themes and we all want to see these egg hunts be something to look back on with nostalgia. -take notes from 2018. I cannot stress this enough. that year's egg hunt was so good in every aspect and if they can do anything to bring back that vibe would be greatly appreciated. egg hunt 2018 was genuinely the highlight of my year and seeing how that was already 6 years ago is astonishing and sad. -keep the hunt going for longer. if these egg hunts are going to have quality, the players need time to actually finish it. Have it start from mid-March and end around mid-April. the players should not be forced to rush themselves if they want to 100% the egg hunt. I hope this advice I'm giving is actually followed through and I'll be optimistic about it. I don't play Roblox as much as I used to back in 2017-2020. but I still care about it and I want this new generation to have quality media as I have had in my childhood. I go on Roblox today and the majority of what I see on the front page is lifeless cash-grab garbage. I don't want our youth to be plagued with this brain rot and they deserve better.

If they really want a dev hunt, they shouldnt have picked majority of simulators or tyccoons The genre picking should be mixed, one game can be an obby, one can be a simulator, one can be point and click (As long as its high quality and interesting), etc... Dev hunts are good when good games that put effort into the event are selected. The main issue with The Hunt is that many games are simple cash grabs with no effort or soul into them, such as the identical simulator games, or the absolutely horrendous excuse for an "event" the "developers" at BIG games made for Pet Simulator 99.

I have not seen a single roblox player telling that "loved" trying out a broad range of experiences.

We as a community need to actually fight back and protest out loud. It’s obvious roblox isn’t going to listen to a shattered collective of people who probably won’t say anything directly to David or the roblox teams. We need to find a way to organize as a group to get roblox to listen to us as a playerbase I feel. As dramatic as it sounds, we need to find a way to get REALLY loud.

You are already too loud, that Roblox is giving the cold shoulder to all of you, in 2007, many people complain for lots of improvements basically for improvement in the gamr.

It feels like they just looked at the numbers, saw there was a record number of quests completed and users playing, and thought everyone enjoyed playing 100 games even though the exact opposite was true. Oh yeah, I love how they said "100 of our top experiences had brand-new quests" even though more than half of the quests were anything but new or unique. Two of them even reused quests (A Wolf or Other and Undead Defense Tycoon).

I got 100 coins from the hunt and I’d say it was actually a bit fun in some of the games, found new friends unexpectedly, and found new games that I didn’t even think i’d like; it’s just the majority of games that make no sense for being on the hunt. Overall, it’s nice to have an event once in a while.

I personally enjoyed playing all those games, even though a lot of them were pretty soulless. roblox has been very dry lately and it was at least something to do but there is NO WAY roblox is THAT blind that they didnt see how many people hated it because of the amount of badges they had to get / games they had to play (especially since it was very time consuming), and a lot of people dont have the time.

Personally. I do really enjoy dev hunts. Of course, I do prefer the original egg hunts. But I really do enjoy jumping from game to game and getting a taster of a bunch of different games, I really find it to be a great way to find good new games to play (cos the discover page is useless)

this is where we have come to this point, its now obvious bazucki is properly not listening to his community only for money and anything he wants, even hearing from a comment that he supports toxic games like CW i just hope one day he loses alot of money, gets karma and starts listening to their community again people really need to realize people are not throwaway objects

I don't think the investors like that games with copyrighted characters like Goku are in an official Roblox event with a letter changed so it doesn't get taken down

They shouldn’t have had a battle pass, the gold items should of been harder versions of the games, but that would be worse since no quality control but when the event one day gets quality control it will be a great idea. Also should have had like an item everyone tried to go for that you could get by solving clues like rb battles, it makes the community get together and it’s very fun to watch aswell. They should have not included the mimic if you have to get every badge or any game that just isn’t good for a child’s mental, it just makes less people play the events

I honestly was able to try out some games that seemed fun to me thanks to the hunt, but i’d say like putting less games, more prizes and doing a better quality check would make those events better

I think what that could be saying is that users enjoyed that there was a VARIETY of experiences, not that users generally liked the experiences. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed most of the games, with some providing either fun challenges or allowed us to have fun even after we got the badge. However, I think that the worst of the games were the fighting/P.V.P ones. There were so many users wanting to wreck everyone else's fun because God forbid we want to enjoy ourselves. Most of these badges were a pain to get in those games and it was extremely unfair at times. Especially when most do not have the funds to purchase a private server and/or have other devices to use ALT's on. But regardless, how hard is it to add games you know everyone would enjoy.? Or just one that's equally fair.

CW was chaos for a while cause of this event and it wasn't exactly good either since you could essentially buy the tommy gun/nuke/missile shower/Blackhole and cheese through the event

The main problem with the Hunt was that roblox didn't give any games a certain requirement for a level of quality. I think it would've been a lot better if roblox said something like "You can add any quest you want but don't make it really scummy or boring. Actually make us play a game to complete the quest and not just click a button for 30 minutes." The main thing I didn't like about the hunt were all of the developers who did just make either really p2w or boring quests. Dev Hunts really aren't that bad as long as the developers give us something good. Its not just Roblox's fault, its the developers faults aswell. Hopefully next time roblox gives them a sort of high standard that they are required to meet.

Friendly reminder that the vast majority of roblox playerbase are kids, and that most of them just do things because yes. Theres a big chance that "feedback" roblox had was just player counts, which not only can be manipulated easily but also considers the hundreds of thousands of kids that did nothing but stay on those games either confused or just wandering arround not actually doing the event.

I’m glad that Roblox, got good feedback because I like the hunt it was really cool and fun sadly, I only got the 55 because I got sick. I got a cold on that day so I couldn’t finish it.

Sure. The DevHunt thing allowed me to explore gamed I would have never thought existed before, but most of these games were simulators and tycoons. Both game types most likely waste your time with grinding a lot or doing a ling task, or they just make it to where you can just pay your way to the badge... at least Lumber Tycoon 2 didnt really do this. I do enjoy the fact that you can explore different games, but most of the selected games are time consuming or impossible for new players (I'm looking at that one anime fighting game, it doesnt tell tou what to do). There are only a small amount of hidden gems like Arsernal, Piggy, and maybe 3008, to where they make the hunt badge a good way to get it, Arsenal and Piggy making a whole different thing for it, while 3008 encourages you to just explore and play the game.

I'd like to think the "broad range of games" they meant genres, like tycoons, tower defense, cars, etc, which yea that was good but in The Hunt a huge part of the games were simulators, and not even the decent ones, just Pet Sim copies with gamepasses everywhere

Honestly, I wouldn't mind dev hunts if; A: They actually quality checked them. This makes it so we don't get any games where you have to AFK for 15 minutes. B: They included MORE smaller games. I could list hundreds of small, unknown games that deserve recognition. Roblox deciding to allow the same, popular games to feature in the dev hunts is just plain unfair. Can roblox, just for once, allow smaller developers to have the spotlight? C: Less games. 100 was way too many games, especially for such a short time. If roblox only had around 20 - 30 games, (Which are all quality checked), I would actually love the hunt. I'm sure a bunch of players would love it too. However, knowing roblox, they would just ignore all these points. Like always.

i think by a broad range of experiences they meant different types of experiences. it can be interpreted both ways.

I didn't mind joining new experiences at all. It was a way for me to check out if I enjoyed the game so I could play it again if I'm ever bored. However, this was really dumb in some cases as a lot of games made the hunt non-beginner friendly. Treasure hunting simulator is a best example. Fruit battlegrounds can be kicked to the curb.

When I played the hunt there was one guy which I started playing the most

i like when they listed metaverse champions as an event tons of people have fond memories of that was pretty funny egg hunt 2018 is right there guys

as a wrongblock player i can truly say toilet tower defense is the most broad range of experiences i have loved 🥰

Actually I really liked trying out a broad range of games, it was nice to play something I just never would play otherwise. Though... I have just one complaint... It's a 100 games with awful quality control and VERY varying difficulty and time needed to complete them. That's what put people off, and they should REALLY get on that... Even just cutting the ammount of games to 50 would be better, going even lower than 50 would be even better. Either that or fixing it in a way so that you get rewards for way fewer games so you have to play like 30 and not 50. Still better than having to complete 95. So yeah, I can see this as not being a lie, but actually a true statement they gathered from people - but they misinterpreted it TERRIBLY and we will suffer for it.

i'll be honest i don't mind doing dev hunts; the only problem i had with the hunt was the fact that there were so many games that literally didnt try at all. games like arsenal that added their own unique thing was really cool and i wouldn't mind having to go through multiple high quality things for the event. the main problem was that so many of them were just either "play our game normally" or "here's the most boring, tedious, time padded out quests ever". as long as the games give us a fun, unique experience, then i'm ok with however many games they may add.

Y'know, Roblox is like me. Whenever it does something right, it always fumbles and ends up doing something dumb and wrong.

I personally dont mind having to go in so many games, but please, the way to get some badges in the hunt was one of the worst things ever, in 2020 during the egg hunt, yeah, a lot of games, but the eggs werent too hard to get, its pretty much the opposite with some games in the hunt

To be honest i was put off with the Hunt immediately after joining. All of those games i saw were horrible. I would never want to go through that pain like other people did.

I hated playing all the games I had to play… And for only 6 items, one of which was only added because players were upset that the game didn’t involve eggs at all. I also disliked having to play games made my controversial people and studios like Preston and GameFam.

Tbh I just want small good quality events every once in a while with some cool prizes. The Hunt had too many games that varied in quality/difficulty, and I think that really soured the event for many people.

Egg hunt 2018 was incredibly enjoyable, they should take notes from it as it was one of the egg hunts the some have enjoyed I'm pretty sure. No one enjoyed playing 100 games, some games required to be played more than an hour or so to attain the reward which isnt significant, after thay most of us would just forget about the game and sweep it under the rug.

by "users loved trying out a broad range of experiences" they didn't mean the number of games, they meant like, the fact there's games like bayside highschool rp then goes to combat warriors

I’m really hoping this was a mistake or something, Dev Hunts can SOMETIMES be fun, but it’s just tiring now..

They’re right. We do like trying out a broad range of new experiences, not crappy simulators and Toilet Tower Defense.

Ironically toilet tower defense's hunt quest was a lot more enjoyable than a bunch of games in the hunt which says something about how bad some of the games were

Who's idea was it to make community feedback corperate feedback?

The last point listed is actually very positive. If Roblox moderates what devs create for the event, then trying new games isn’t as tedious.

How does Roblox not see the backlash to The Hunt?

I have a friend who spended a whole week with really poor sleep, so 100 games devhunts are a really bad idea, they should never do that specifically because most games are really bad. If they do another hunt with even more games than the last in 2025, its clear Roblox is going for quantity over quality

What if we just don’t play the events therefore telling Roblox we not doing all of that

Why do I feel like I’m the only person who likes dev hunts😢, being able to try out many different games that I otherwise wouldn’t have played both good and bad are one of the reasons I love dev hunts

I liked it until pet simulator forced me to play for 2 hours to get the badge

I just want an event that isn’t spread out to a million games, majority of which I’ve never played before just for a few items.

I don't remember exactly where I heard the name for this kind of situation. But basically, It is much easier to make a huge over generalization of data to make it seem as if the people are in support of a specific thing, when in reality it's not even true. Here's how to put it: If most of the games that are in EggHunt have a certain amount players for a -quota- that they want, they'll use that as enough evidence to prove that ""You"" (The Players) want more DevHunts. It's pretty scummy, and very ignorant on Roblox's part. That's what I think as a whole. What do you guys think?
