There is a reason why you dont see any fly fishing content on this channel and the reason for that is, I dont know what I'm doing. Prior to my trip to NZ I had hardly done any fly fishing but hey I figured why not give it a shot. Plus in the Taupo district Fly fishing is the only method allowed, so I was straight in the deep in in some very tight water. Possibly not the easiest area to learn fly fishing but we had a great day anyway.

That was definitely us. We had a bludy great day and have a great appreciation to just have the opportunity to fish on such a beautiful section of water. 👍🎣

Such a beautiful part of the world, I felt very privileged to be able to fish many beautiful rivers over there. I will return with more experience up my belt next time.

Wet your hands before you handle the fish or they are damaged.

Yes there is potential to remove the fishes protective layer by handling them with dry hands.
Mate maybe keep the river name on the down low. These rivers have enough pressure. Those who know know.

I understand your point of view but I don’t believe our fishing exploits on this day are going to add any extra pressure on the fishery, are you local? Is that the reason for your concern?

Quite literally the easiest river to fish . Had 2 mates that don’t fish at all crack 20 fish by lunch 🥱
