When I first started playing eve I was absolutely blown away by your 'gang vs dread/marauder/battleship' videos. I actually spoke to you briefly in-game and even considered joining your corp before my own life took over and I had to take a step back from the game. The spectacle of that is just the pinnacle of what I had hoped to achieve in this game. So I'm all for that. I think I can collectively say that we all enjoy your eve content in general actually. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here commenting. I would definitely like a podcast. But I think you have to pin down a format. If it was me I would get lost and unfocused with different options such as 'advice' and try to stick to the one thing that I knew I had a lot to say about. But a discord that would allow us a little more casual conversation might be a nice idea to connect with people that enjoy your stuff even if it isn't directly related. Personally, I don't much care for chess. But I do share a lot of interests it would seem so i would be interested to hear what you thought was interesting about history, economics etc etc. I hope you are doing well brother, we all wish you good health and happiness in your journey in and out of the game. Excited to see what the future brings from your channel. Fly safe o7

That or painting minis. Both are immensely rewarding in their own right, and hey, if you ever end up 3d printing one of the Eve ships you could paint it too, et voilà, made it doubly interesting! Interested in following you streaming too. A little less into podcasts as I have a hard time focusing on audio while working. Best of luck with your endeavors, and as always, fly unsafe o7

So sad to hear about your deteriorating health. I hope it improves. As for your question, I was honestly hoping you said you played Minecraft, because that would be fun to watch videos of your doings. I think writing a book about your chronic illness (and how it affected your family life, your job, EVE playing and/or how EVE [or whatever] helped you live with it) would be good. There is a Minecraft player who goes by the handle GoodTimesWithScar; he's wheelchair-bound and has some health issues as well. He'll do occasional videos about his health and his travels (related to Minecraft, generally). Personally, I don't loiter around Discord much. I'm in eight channels and it seems the ones I'm most interested in end up being lonely with conversations maybe once a month or so. Of course, I'm just one person and may be the minority. In the end, do what's best for you. I hope we can still support and follow you.

Very sorry to hear about your current state of health. I recently returned to EVE after a long break and just discovered your channel. It seems like I'm not alone in thinking you should stream. Maybe start with EVE or make that the primary thing you stream since you already have a following there and then mix in other topics here and there as you go.

I haven't heard you or the others mentioning music while you have an extremely good sense to choose funny and/or surprising music to your eve pvp vids. I really like this in your vids. Whatever you'll do, streaming, diy woodcarving, chess, anything, please don't forget to pair it with your diverse musical taste. Thanks.

On your question: it sounds authentic that you want to help people and provide solutions or a direction, that's so beautiful, do that! - Remember it's still about what you want not what the audience wants (up to you to find the intersection :)) - only advise: don't mix content on your platforms that is not themed for the target audience. Just one more thought: if you want to play eve - think about turning graphics down (less explosions), so it's not that jittery and you can play more relaxed (probably you already did that).

I’m in the same position - everyone tells me they would love to just be at home and not having to work etc...it was ok the first couple of months but it takes it’s toll for sure. Having struggled with just being able to stand up on my own and daily hygiene is something I have to have help with for about 4 years now...feels like I’m a prisoner in my own home. The VA actually suggested online gaming as 1) a recreational therapy because 2) it forces me to use my fingers, hands and arms 🤷‍♂️ Hit me up if you ever want to talk or just be yourself - stay safe and make good choices 👍🏻

One thing you might consider is to get into some really good books. Personally I prefer older books, such as historical accounts, chronicles, and other non-fiction. Chess would be quite cool as well, given that it is such a complex game and there are countless strategies to explore. Wishing you the best, take care!

I love a good book, one thing I have started doing since I got ill is more reading, currently making my way through Herodotus. I also find that I am much interested in history of late, the world seems to make a lot more sense when you know what came before. On the chess front, I have been playing for a long time, but my rating has been siting around 1800 for maybe 15 years, I am toying with the idea of trying to make a big improvement push. I want to try to produce some creative output, and have though about doing something with history (Laskers assorted favorite stories from history?) maybe write something, maybe a podcast. Lots of options...

Played Eve back in 2006 (and mechwarrior back in the 90s) and just ran across your channel. Some ideas: -If you’ve got a lot of game experience across the 70s, 80s, 90s or 2000s see where there is content missing that you have an interest in (good rule in general on here) is there any overlap on the Venn Diagram -More broadly, in your experience where have you been able to help or provide ideas or a unique perspective that people enjoy that others have not? I know there are niches where my ideas have been valuable because very few have been able to consistently deliver. -Figure out a way to involve your nieces, nephews, siblings, friends in Making something together, even if it’s really small at the beginning. I don’t stop by here often, but I can provide resources if it helps. -At some point if you have something that people regularly enjoy you may want to do a small Patreon and use the money to help build things your viewers like. -You can also start with an extremely large subject/audience and try to find a niche. Or something that you see will be large one day soon. It’s sometimes easier to get .001% of an enormous audience and grow, than 1% of something smaller. It depends on how the community is being served. You’ve found a wonderful niche in this aspect of Eve and not everyone accomplished that so keep up the good work, but continue testing the waters in other areas. The second time is sometimes tougher than the first. :)

Well, although eve is popular to an extent, an eve youtube channel is unlikely to get big enough to pay the bills, and covering more games will necessarily require an amount of screen-time that you probably cant dedicate to it, given your limitations. It sounds to me as though you already have an answer of sorts; you like problem solving, you like helping people and you're pretty articulate - I think you're more-or-less positioning yourself in some field such as a counsellor/advisor who can help people figure out what they really want and ways to realise those ambitions. This could be an online service, so you wouldn't have to commit to commuting, you'd probably need to invest in getting some qualifications/accreditations to provide those services on a professional basis, and you'd need to be sure your health can permit you to be reliable in keeping appointments you make - I don't know if your circumstances would allow for that but, given what you've said, it seems you'd be a natural for work of this sort and the lack of physical meetings may even be a benefit - on some subjects, maintaining a degree of anonymity can actually make discussing some sensitive subjects easier.

Maybe try some crafts? Something you can sink a whole lot of time into and keep you busy (Eve, heh). You could do one of those relaxing videos of carving stuff if that’s your thing. Or branch into other games. Roguelikes are great, I recommend looking into Cataclysm DDA if you enjoy survival games...

I like complex topics you can really dig into, I think it adds a ton of fun. I have never carved anything, although my father was a woodworker. Somehow my whole life I have been an ideas and words guy. I like the idea of a new game, but I pick them up rarely and so am not sure what would be good. I have also thought about doing some sort of Living with Chronic Illness thing (Blog, podcast, whathave you), some of it is a little dark, but some of it is just so weird perhaps people would find it interesting.

Another thing you can try is rc planes and helis learn to fly on the cheapest versions possible and grow confidence to fly multi thousand dollar nitro engine fueled outdoor models. I'm more experienced on working on cars if your interested in that.

This is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), so I think it's the prefect time for you to start writing. Given your interests, you could write historical fiction, or EVE fan fiction, or a space opera inspired by your adventures in EVE. I think a novel with skirmishes/battles would be right up your alley, as you explain strategy very well, and it would be great to see that ability put to good use in an exciting story. If you're interest is piqued, check out NaNoWriMo's website: www.nanowrimo.org/. It has tips on getting started and many other resources.

Man you do with your time whatever you like. Its your time. Nobody can tell you what to do with your time. I wouldn't feel bad doing my own thing if I were you. I do enjoy your content, but I wouldn't ask you to do anything that causes you pain. I don't think anyone else should either. Try and get yourself as healthy as possible, take your time, and when you feel like making any content then I will be here and so will everyone else. Anyone who enjoys what you do will probably be patient. If you want to try streaming I bet you'd be good at it. Maybe do some sort of podcast. If your still into Eve, then maybe some sort of workshop or round table type thing were people discuss different tactics in a public forum. As long as it doesn't get taking over by nasty people it might be interesting. If you could get them to agree to it, you might even write a book about the life of a new pilot and the journey they take through Eve. The series based on the game Halo comes to mind.
