This man accidentally grabbing everything off the conveyor belt is funnier to me than it should be.
I was really expecting him to end each sentence with "I tell ya _hwhat._ "
This was such a nice light-hearted interview, Syrmor. Thank you for the change-up. Props to Daichi for choosing Hank Hill. I hope he realizes the irony of his avatar choice.
Syrmor: interviews american soldiers candidly about tours in the middle east Also Syrmor: hehe Japan hostesses have hosts for them.
I find it nothing short of captivating that, on a platform where "dangerously loli-looking anime girl" is pretty much the generally accepted standard for an avatar, this Japanese man just went with Hank

Host Hank: *Takes a shot with client* "Have I told you pretty ladies about propane and propane accessories?"
POV: you go to a izakaya in Japan and Hank Hill sits down and starts telling you his life story
hank hill had a crazy life before getting married damn
Of course the Japanese man chooses Hank Hill the American icon

Honestly it is really funny especially when you see alot of Americans choose Japanese characters on VR
This was so incredibly charming and legit interesting, thank you for putting it together! May Kirito's liver know peace at last.
Hank Hill as a host in Japan it's everything you need and more
It's nice to see hank visiting his brother.
My Asian boyfriend named John watching this 👁👄👁 "hello I am John America"
"My host name was Kirito, like sword art online" As someone who was a teenager in late 2000s/early 2010s who unironically thought Kirito was the coolest fictional character to ever exist, I feel this poor man's pain
The best host name is “John Smith”. All hosts should be named that.
IRL : Ikemen VrChat : Hank Hill That's like reverse of a lot of people on VrChat
It's him John America, the kirito of USA
we didn't get the "if you could tell the world one thing" question answered, but I assume it would've been "don't drink 10 tequila shots then barf in your client's bag"
To anyone interested in this topic, I recommend the doc "The Great Happiness Space." Matches up 100% with the interview, despite being filmed (probably) a decade before Daichi's experiences.
"OH NO, HE'S CUTE."
Nice of Hank to pick up a job to help out his brother
the fact that he is hank hill pulling a gangster lean makes this soo much more entertaining
That sounds like a really fun job!

Finally, missed these videos
A good wholesome vid. Perfect
best channel on youtube
Sounds like my time in the military would be really helpful, in shape, well dressed heavy drinker, wish they had these in the US
I love your videos you always post good content
This sounds like a alternate Goro Majima origin story
Ive been in Okinawa for 6 months, the hostess bars are so funny lmao I remember being in Fukuoka, shitfaced, and all the hostesses being so scared of us, good time
I wonder if he ever talked to his clients about propane and propane accessories... 😅

dude, hearing this job description, I realize now that this would hands down be my sky's-the-limit career choice. hellz yea. if hank hill can kick it, then a fellow central texan like me can definitely duke it out as a host.
A gentleman of host clubs and host club accessories
This channel is top 5 finds in the internet. 4 real. This is something else.
I’ve learned so much
You should do these kind of videos more often
That hank hill costume was freaking out the whole video
I haven't watched the whole video yet. But one of the bests things about Japan is they actually stand to the side if they are not walking up or down an escalator.

I don't think I have the liver for this job. The rest sounds neat but I'm a lightweight. Good job sir.
I was born in Okinawa as well🙂 I now also live in the states I really wish I could go back to visit
(me in Hank Hill's voice before I played the video) "Bobby, let me tell you about Japan."

SAO was and still is my favorite anime, alongside Hellsing Ultimate. Forget the drinks and brownie points, I could talk SAO all night.
I recommend CDawgVA's video where he joins a host club for a day
I'm actually living in Okinawa right now. Tried looking up the name of that Club/Izakaya, unfortunately it appears to have closed permanently. Anyways, thank you Mr. Hill for your insight.

I understand it’s a cultural difference but I would honestly hate having this job so much. Basically drinking extremely heavily and consistently, kissing ass (the worst part), while also be a salesmen.
