In this video we play Nosferatu for the SNES! Stay tuned for another bonus video tomorrow! Also, I noticed I said the music for Rocky & Bullwinkle on NES is awful. There's a specific part in the game I'm talking about. It's not the first stage or anything.

    You can definitely see the Prince of Persia platforming in this game - I never had a chance to play this as a kid but it looks pretty decent, I was a big fan of PoP so I can imagine with similar mechanics I would enjoy this

    Good game. I'm surprised they haven't mentioned, this game has the same mechanics like Prince of Persia. It's so obvious the developers just took Prince of Persia and gave it a Nosferatu coat. But still it's a nice game.

    It has the basics from Prince of Persia, that's it. I mean, the guy is beating shit up with just his FISTS and can do badass combos while PoP was all about parrying and swiping at the right time. Also, most of your enemies in PoP did exactly everything you were able to do because they were all swordsmen. Here, they're all a variety of monsters, like you'd have to adapt to in a Castlevania game.

  • @Zatracenec

    @Zatracenec

    UltimaKeyMaster you are right, but also falling on spikes, scaling obstacles, end of the level is exactly the same, when entering the staircase etc...but I admit, it would be awesome to have PoP with this kind of more dynamic fight. And I like that bounce, when he falls on his back. :-)

    I think Mike was just referring to it in general, not in the gaming sense. Like, in real life, an uppercut is performed by shooting your fist/arm upwards. So, naturally, shouldn't it be up+attack in games? That would be the logical move. If it's always been down+attack, fine. But that's not how it would really work in real life.

  • @DoomRater

    @DoomRater

    9 жыл бұрын

    Trixie Lulamoon Actually boxers need to duck before throwing the uppercut because otherwise there isn't any upward momentum behind the punch. The twist at the hips is only half of the uppercut, the other part is performing the squat.

That really adds a lot more detail to the video and we can get a better idea of how the game handles and how smooth the animations are. Watching this brings back good memories about playing Prince of Persia. It may be because of that game that I never found having to drop down on ledges tedious since I believe it was the first sidescroller/platformer I ever played.
