I love that Norwex made the news! The fact the microbiology lab coordinator agreed that Norwex' antibacterial claim is a legitimate claim, really helps to show that while the silver does not kill the bacteria on the surface, it's superior microfiber picks it up off the surface, leaving it free of bacteria, and then as it trapped in the cloth, it will starve and cannot survive or mutate.

I LOVE Norwex!! I have always been a fan of silver to use internally and am super pleased to know that I can now clean my home with it and get better results than I can with an all purpose cleaner that cleans 0% of bacteria off surfaces!! I am so happy to be a Norwex consultant and so happy I had a good friend that loved me enough to share it with me.

My husband bought cloths 1 year ago from a person just getting into the business. Unaware of the 'proper' way to use and launder the cloths, I was washing and treating them like regular 'rags'. A friend of mine demonstrated just 2 days ago, the proper way to use them and she used NORWEX mop on my dark hardwood floors and demonstrated using my Norwex cloths on my granite countertop...BEAUTIFUL!! I'm not so concerned with the antibacterial quality, as much as I am the fact that cleaning the floors leaves no residual film and the floors shine without buffing. I HATE cleaning. After the demo I ordered the entire package. My only problem is what to do with the useless Brand Name Cleaning Supplies I have in my cupboard?

Stephanie, if you are drinking colloidal silver, please stop. It can cause argyria - a condition caused by inappropriate exposure to chemical compounds of the element silver, or to silver dust where the most dramatic symptom of argyria is that the skin turns blue or bluish-grey.

You don't know what you're talking about, Tad. Colloidal nano silver is beyond safe. Argyria is extremely rare, and only occurs if someone is ingesting WAY too many LARGE particles of silver. Nano silver is very safe, and has no contraindications.

I have taken colloidal silver for over 25 years and I have never turned blue! If you are not a jughead it will kill what’s not suppose to be in your system and help your immune system build itself up! Don’t talk about things you do not know about or you will get beat up by your own stupidity.

Tad Reed I absolutely agree with you. Consuming colloidal silver is not a smart thing to do. And any GP will tell you that. However, the silver particles in Norwex can be considered without focusing on those who go above and beyond and ingest this shit. It’s like essential oils. People actually ingest them. Whereas others use them in a diffuser or topically. I would highly recommend no one ingests these substances.

Kate -- I heard that b/c the Norwex pulls the substances into the middle of the cloth, that the claims of the silver working on it is accurate in that sense. I am interested in how this all works but I see your point.

  • @justinmeyer5034

    @justinmeyer5034

    9 жыл бұрын

How it works is that like Kate said, the quality of the microfiber (size, density etc) literally remove everything from the surface and then the silver goes to work to sanitize the cloth itself. Otherwise a cloth that holds on to that much bacteria would be really stinky and would eventually cross contaminate. :-)

I want to know if the Norwex and the non Norwex microfibers were of the same quality. Not knowing makes this exercise useless. Also, I'd like to see a test done after a Norwex cloth and an equivalent quality generic microfiber cloth after they have both been washed several times. I am not convinced the silver is retained in the Norwex after a few wash and drys.

Norwex microfiber is 1/200th the size of a human where other microfiber cloths are usually 1/100th so Norwex is much much finer which in turn will allow it to pick up more dirt and grime. Our cloths have Micro silver instead of nano silver which Micro I believe is more durable. I am a consultant and i have been using the same EnviroCloth at all my shows since last July and after washing, boiling [to do a deep clean] and using pretty constantly, the silver is still working in the cloth! Hope this helps!

  • @JPeteQ

Microfiber starts life as a liquid that is compressed through something like a shower head to create the micro-fine threads that comprise the cloth. The micro silver is mixed into this liquid before it's turned into cloth so it's a part of the threads, it's not applied after the fact in a way that could wear off. As long as there is fabric to your Norwex cloth, there is silver.

  • @chose2bmom

Leslie Power Actually, one comment above is incorrect. Norwex improved it's microfiber from 1/100th to 1/200th the width of a human hair. The best you can purchase off the shelf is 1/20th, cheapest is 1/6th. I believe if the cloth had been rung out and not saturated (they said it was soaked in the sterilized water) and then the cloth kept flat on the surface, the removal would have been 100%. Leslie, I would be glad to send you a travel size cloth for you to try and test for yourself. darlahz@gmail.com and the comment above about the manufacturing is totally correct! And the 10 year old cloth still passes the chicken demo testing for protein removal. The technology of the silver Embedded or Impregnating the cloth is what sets us apart. No more stinky soured cloths!

Gord Smith Yes. I hosted a Norwex party and my friend did a demonstration for us. She rubbed raw chicken on a plate, swabbed and tested it using the same swabs the health department uses when they inspect restaurants. She cleaned the plate with the Norwex cloth. Tested it again. The plate was clean. But here’s the most impressive part, and the answer to your question... she then wiped the used part of that cloth on a clean plate and tested it. No bacteria transferred onto the clean plate. The cloth trapped it all!

How many weeks does it take you to purchase $18 worth of paper towels? That's what the Enviro Cloth costs. 1 roll/week would be 18 weeks. A 2-year guarantee means the cloth puts you ahead 104-18 = 86 weeks. And most cloths last well beyond 104 weeks. Does that make sense? Another benefit is that 86 weeks of paper towels are not going into the landfill.

The cloth is guaranteed for 2 years but I have known some people who have had theirs for over 7 years and they are still going strong. How many rags, dish cloths, paper towels, etc will you go through in the time that 1 cloth will continue to be working for you? Just a little point to ponder.

It’s more or less how you clean… the product you wipe your solution with … the cloth if you will… bleach, vinegar are well used as cleaning solutions… by themselves they can’t get to the bacteria … Spraying objects and counters with chemicals is common practice … then wiping up the spray with a paper towel … or some use a kitchen towel … still not all the bacteria jumps on or is wiped up into the towel or cloth… most of it is just spread around ..and usually if the spray drys in less than 4 minutes … the bacteria is still alive on the surface… most of us wipe till we think the solution is dry .. that’s the worst thing to do … the paper towel is then thrown away … the kitchen towel is put back on a counter top or somewhere else to cross contaminate. To disinfect any surface with chemicals takes time, up to 10 minutes keeping that surface wet with the cleaner ...and then about 10 minutes later after it’s dry, another wipe off of the surface with soapy water. Norwex micro fiber cloths pick up the bacteria into the cloth and will not cross contaminate to adjacent surfaces you may wipe. The disinfecting of the surface is the micro fibers picking up 99% of the bacteria or germ, like picking weeds and there roots out from a concrete driveway … Afterwards rinse the cloth In hot water, hang to dry by it’s tag … and in 24 hours it’s purified… just that simple… that easy … and safe!!! No cost of vinegar, bleach or general purpose cleaners, no paper towel waste, no cross contamination ... the story goes on … cleaner.. greener …and less expensive. An ace in the hole for us and the environment.

99 % removal of the ecoli would result if the envirocloth is used more as instructed and directed … just smudging the envirocloth in a dish with a rounded finger point is not as effective or extracting of ecoli as will a more folded flat cloth lying completely in contact with the surface to be cleaned. The envirocloth has been clinically proven to be used after contact with all bacteria onto multiple surfaces without spreading of the germ/bacteria leaving the cloth itself. In turn when wiping with the infected cloth on additional objects or planes, you will not infect those additional areas with any harmful bacteria or germ. No other product or chemical or combination there of … can even consider making that claim. Consultants for Norwex demonstrate this proven fact at parties all the time.

I mean. I’d rather use them than a microfiber rag. They have chemicals that are used specifically to kill bacteria.

I still cannot justify spending $50 for microfiber cloths??? Never happen - not in this lifetime.

I use to use cotton pads and name-brand facial cleansers to wash my face. After 3-4 times of doing it the cotton ball finally showed my face was clean. I tried a Norwex face cloth and I washed my face once. I was amazed to see how much cleaner my face was than the high-priced cleanser I was using 3-4 times.
