While I enjoy each and every one of your podcasts, this one was truly extraordinary. I so enjoyed listening to you speak in your native tongue. Norway is such a beautiful country and its people are lovely as well. I applaud you for showcasing the traditions of your people and their crafts. Simply wonderful!

I completely agree!
Super hearing you speak your native language. A gentle rhythmical cadence. Watching Liv and seeing all her beautiful makes gave me a sense of groundedness. Simplicity (although I know it's anything but simple). I think the world could do with a few more Livs? What never fails to impress me is you two world famous artists in your own right who are both so humble, patriotic and supportive of your fellow artists. Way to go.

Absolutely Alyson! I totally agree with you when you said that the video gave you a sense of being grounded. Today’s world seems to be one of rapid change in the main, and I don’t adapt that fast. This wonderful, long-standing tradition, feels reassuring and comforting. I too am struck by Arne & Carlos’ humility. They are wise enough to know what they don’t know. Take care!
This episode was fantastic. It looked like a fairytale! The history, the sheep, the plant dyes and your Setesdal sweaters.
This episode is one of my favorites! I loved hearing the Norwegian language and seeing the dyeing using plants- so interesting!

I really enjoyed this. Learning so much about the Norwegian culture. The yarns dyed with plants are so beautiful. It was nice to hear the Norwegian language, and see the beautiful countyside.
As a plant dyer myself, this was one of my favorite episodes. Liv is charming. Can't wait to visit Setesdal some day!

I wish I had multiple likes available so I could click all of them. This series is a delight.
Can’t wait to check out Liv’s Facebook page! What a treat to enjoy your visit to her farm. Such a pleasure to see her dyeing with all the natural plants. I had a small sheep farm myself and loved spending time spinning, dyeing and weaving my wool. So enjoy going along on your travels.
Oh boy, what a showing of true country. It doesn't get any better than that.
This is one of my favorite Arne and Carlos episodes!
Best episode ever! Gomes Hus is like someplace out of a fairy tale, and Liv is the fairy godmother! I just loved meeting the sheep, seeing part of the dying process, and vicariously devouring the pastries in such an idyllic setting. Liv’s shop is enchanting, and the buttercup-colored walls are perfect for displaying the soft tones of her hand-dyed yarns. When I return to Norway, this will be my #1 spot to visit to immerse myself in Setesdal. So loved that you were all speaking Norwegian, which heightened the experience. 🐑🐑🐑
Sigrid Undset's "Kristin Lavransdatter" was one of my favorite reads of all time. It's set during the Black Death in Norway and now, thanks to this video, I can picture the landscape and the architecture so much more vividly. Thank you!
Another beautiful programme, so interesting. So lovely to be able to experience Norwegian language being spoken. Thank you
I truly enjoyed this episode. The gorgeous house dating back to before the Black Plague, the interesting anecdote about hiding the precious door handle, the dyeing process, Gomes Hus and its gorgeous merchandise, the cute flock of sheep, and Liv's hospitality all created a serene atmosphere. Hearing you both speak in Norwegian was a special treat. Liv's lifestyle is anything but simple - just managing livestock is tough work - but she exudes warmth and serenity, and, best of all, love for her lifestyle. Thank you for taking the time to visit her and to highlight the tremendous work behind her craft. On that note, Arne, I'll come and help you serve the waffles and spin wool. I'll even cut the grass...using a scythe. 😃
This episode deserves an award! ❤️❤️❤️
It was wonderful seeing both of you speak your native tongue. Liv was such a dream, her talent and hospitality was truly epic. The two of you were wonderful guests as well. Thank you for introducing us to this beautiful beautiful part of your country.
Wow, just fascinating. This is so wonderful getting to know these super people. Thanks guys 🧶🧶

Unforgettable episode. An invaluable contribution to the fiber arts community 💛
Arne and Carlos: you two are a class act!
Loved this episode. The cardigan she designed with the Christmas trees is a treasure…
This was a wonderous episode. You literally step back in time. An era where tradition and community was at the very center of their lives. We should all take a page from this book! Thank you and safe journeys.
This is a beautiful series and I'm grateful that you are sharing this with us. Thank you Gentlemen and thank you Liv.
I was mesmerized while watching this episode. The countryside, the ancient buildings, Liv continuing the traditions of Setesdal, it was so moving. Hearing you both speak in Norwegian with Liv made the conversation so natural. Many years ago I was mentored in my early childhood teaching by a Norwegian woman named Mona who was originally from the Oslo area. There is a sizable Norwegian expat community in the SF Bay Area and at her daughter’s wedding many of their guest were dressed in their folk costumes. When I saw the example of the costume in Liv’s shop it looks so much like the one Mona wore. She also knitted sweaters that looked very much like the ones in the shop. One year, after a trip to Norway, she brought me a circular silver pin with little golden colored circles that move and shimmer. I now understand how traditional a design it is an I treasure it even more. This series has captivated my heart! Thank you.
Thank you so much for this wonderful series. It is so good you take time with the people you visit . So many of these programmes just scratch the surface. I was at a festival in Setesdal many many years ago and we still have cds of Kristen Bråten Berg in our collection We are too old for the kind of trip we used to take so we can do it by proxy through your series. I enjoyed this very much. Marion

This series is wonderful.
I am so enamored with this farm and the legacy. Liv is a very lovely, talented, brilliant, hospitable, hard working woman. Thank you for sharing this amazing experience. September with Arne & Carlos is my cup of tea!
So much stands out in this episode ... especially seeing you both so happy and relaxed and being yourselves in your element. And Carlos...thank you for the hours you put into the English text. I thoroughly lived every minute of my visit with Luv at Gomes Hus. Learned new things that will influence my own dyes from nature's garden, and omg...the baked goods. Custard filled baked goods. I will be rearranging my day to include baking cinnamon buns. 😋😂 Yarn dying and baking...what could be better? Thank you 1000 times for this visit with Liv.
Loved it!
