You have a gorgeous Buhund! That is a good breeder who bred him, would love to know the kennel name :)

It's actually a funn story of how I was so lucky to en up with Mike. I was originally looking for a black buhund, and had even agreed with a breeder to get one. About one week before I was going to pic her up, the breeder called and said another breeder could really need that dog in her breeding program. However she put me in contact with someone who had unexpectedly just got a litter. They sent me a picture of Mike, and I was sold.. The story says that Mikes father was not approved for breeding as he was missing one testicle. However, that did not stop him from running over to the next door neighbor who had a nice buhund girl. No one saw them mate, and the owner of Mikes mother did not know they had puppies before she found all nine of them in the barn together with an exhausted mother and a supportive grandmother. All the owner had noticed was some strange behavior from the mother the last few days before she found them.

I love that story, and you ended up with such a great dog. And Mike looks like he has a lot of personality! To me he looks like a very handsome Buhund with the perfect temperament. What breeder did Mike come from? Does the kennel have a name? I want to get a Buhund pup this year, and hopefully help bring more recognition to such an amazing breed! :)

+Kate Pearson If you are interested in getting a buhund from Norway (your name seems very american..) You can take a look at this website "www.cascilius.com/" It's all in Norwegian, but i guess google translate can help you. I picked Mike up at here place an hour drive or so from Oslo. From what I can find on here website she has been in contact with Else Turner in New Jersey. I think buhund is the perfect breed. They are large enough to bing on long walks, yet small enough to sleep on the couch.

Tusen takk Fred! Actually my last name is 'Pedersen' but Pearson is actually a name originating in England. It's a long story but my grand parents are straight from Norway. Thank you so much for the information you have provided. I am very willing to import from Norway, I live in Ontario Canada :)
