I need to buy this song soon bro. It has become an instant favorite, and I look forward to hearing more like it from you in the future. You've definitely earned a new fan, and I'm already going through your youtube channel finding more songs I love. The 'Star-Spangled Banner' version you did is also absolutely amazing, along with 'Toss a Coin to Your Witcher', just to name a few. Thanks again so much for the amazing music. :)

I refused to give into being”disabled” after surgery following car accident. Saw your video where you talked about Jocko Willlinks’ “Extreme Ownership”. I realized that I needed to take extreme ownership of my physical healing. I bought a rowing machine. Northwest Passage is perfect cadence for rowing. More importantly, a daily inspiration. You are an 👼.

I get that! Every time I listen to this, my heart and mind go back to living in Alaska from 1951 (when I was two) until 1978, when I and my four children accompanied my mom down to California to be closer to her mom and sister. Leaving Alaska with all of my friends from different tribal areas there, and leaving the Alaskan seaside at Valdez, was very hard to do. My brother still lives in Valdez...the only one of our family who still does. I miss all of it, very much. This song flows right into my heart and brings me longing, but peace. 😀

This is deeply ingrained in our culture. I was born in the smallest province PEI. I picked up after my 2nd layoff. I moved 5000 km to Edmonton Alberta and made a life. My passage was done in January with suicidal levels of highway ice. With my wife. We had no plan, no employment. We carved a life. A successful one. We survived. This song is our religion. Thank you for doing it so well.

What a wonderful way to honor your uncle with a song from his country of choice. I believe cancer will be eradicated from our lives with better diets and supplementation. Also the availability of higher quality proteins and the avoidance of processed foods and cooking vegetable oils. Your beautiful, powerful voice really allowed the true beauty of this meaningful song to come through. I love what you do .

Heard this song on tiktok and knew a metal cover would be the best version. Thought to myself, gee... Did my man Dan do it already? He absolutely delivered.

This man needs to be on Broadway. I’m sure they’re calling him. I’m old (60’s was my music era - Stones, Beatles, Doors, Jefferson Airplane) but wow. Dan’s voice is so great, with so much range. He could be any kind of star he chooses. I agree, hope he makes good money doing this, he deserves it. I have added every album and song to my iTunes music library. But can’t find “Dawn of a New World”. Hope he records on a New Album. Please!!

I'm sorry that you lost your uncle to cancer, @DanVasc. I too lost an uncle to complications due to a kind of cancer as well (Hodgkin's lymphoma), and I also lost a kitty a few years back to another kind of cancer, among other things, so I know how you feel. I know, this video is four years old, but you just got to live every day with remembering the good times that you had with him and that he will always live on inside of your heart. I'm sure that your uncle would be proud of your cover.
