Picked up our New Northwind 16 a few weeks ago. Paddled it 2 hrs after picking it up. 1st impression can be summarized in one word. AMAZING. Tracks like nothing we have ever paddles before. Thanks for sharing this video. I appreciate the boat even more after seeing it.

@@JTMinnesota just watched a 2 yr old U tube with Shawn James talking bout his canoe he got from these ppl. Shawn is building his off grid cabin. In beautiful country. Get to see him build . Plus go canoeing fishing. Portaging to different lakes. Reminds me of living in Ely as a kid. Going through Fall Lake. Through 3 portage's to get to Basswood. Long before the bwca . . I live up by Alexandria. Thought how cool. Made in Princeton. So I came to see. Thank you

I have neither the time nor the spare funds for a Northstar canoe. But when both of those change, I am definitely picking one up. Bear Paulsen was so accommodating and friendly, and they are absolutely serious about making a quality boat.

Kudos for hand built canoes in 2020. But I’m a sucker for the original Bell logo and pine for a NOS magic

Was up in the BWCA this last weekend. Used a Northstar Solo and was amazed at the build quality. Seeing this video sealed the deal. Do you allow the public to come to your facility and purchase. I am not far from Princeton.
