I grew up in the Church of God. The COG that I knew doesn't exist nowadays. This video brings back memories.

I'm 35, but I'm old fashioned. I still sing the old songs and from the Red back book. How we need to get back to the old landmark. God bless you all.

I just found this video. One of my favorite songs of all time. I've been in Church of God all my life. When I was small, was scared of them shouting. I didn't understand. But as I got older, I understood. And since I got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, I do a little of that myself. I'm now in my 17th year of preaching the Word of God. I love the old time way because that's how I was raised, and I'm going to stick with it because there's no other way.

We really enjoy singing that song. I had to cut it short. It had three encores. We could have gone on all day.

You can thank God for your heritage. You are so right, I have sung in this choir for 45 years & much has changed since 1990. In recent years I have developed a love and appreciate for the old Redback Hymnal. I attended and sang in the Second Annual Redback Hymnal Singing at Gardendale Baptist Church and right now I am listening to the First Annual Singing. Redback Hymnal Singings are springing up all over. I feel that they would be a blessing to you.. I challenge you to check out the the vids.

I have seen them and enjoy them very much. I like to watch them to see if there are any songs that I don't know. Our church uses the Redback books, however we don't know everyone of them!

Great!. If you live within driving distance of the Gardendale Baptist Church, near Birmingham, AL, it would be an experience of a life time to attend the Third Annual Redback Hymnal Singing in April of next year. Plan to sing in the choir. You could contact the church a find out the exact date. Keep the Faith.

Not all, but most Church of Gods today have left this and went contemporary. I see nothing wrong with contemporary but I like this a whole lot more! As a whole, the Church of God has strayed from this type of holiness and worship. By the way I'm only 21 and was raised in the Pentecostal movement. :)
