Large roof over hangs are beautiful and protect the doors, windows and siding from rain and moisture damage. Water is the enemy of buildings. Architects and home builders need to bring back large roof over hangs

I’d sell some land with the house and build new and smaller. I wonder if the government permits for that on this property. We have actually talked about selling here in Alaska and going back east. Growing up we had a cabin near Bean Brook in Newark.

Of all the houses for sale in Vermont, this one is by far the most plain and uninspiring I have seen to date. Other than the garage, it looks like it's been sitting there, waiting to be occupied since 1962. Staging a house like this to make it look like somebody actually lived there is mandatory and the bathrooms need to be remodeled, and the roomy basement is the best feature. An aerial picture of the lot and it's property lines to show the 100 acres would also help a lot because that is the biggest selling point. If I purchased this property, I'd build a more modern house in on of those fields and rent that one out if possible.

Flatlanders will buy them up, raise the rents, charge like you're living in Boston, so you can't afford to live and become homeless.

It’s potentially a very nice place for both an organic farm and winter recreational land. It’s such a shame that the house doesn’t live up to its potential otherwise it would be sold by now.
