Northern Snakehead Catch Clean & Cook on the Traeger Ironwood 885

Bob and I took the Jon Boat out for some spring Crappie fishing. We had a pretty successful day fishing for Crappie. We also caught some Largemouth Bass, and a surprise Northern Snakehead. This is the first one we've caught this year. These fish are EXTREMLY addictive to fish for. They're super fun to catch, they never stop fighting, and the taste AMAZING! Bob gave me the Snakehead and he took the crappie home. This video is the Catch , Clean, and Cook on Northern Snakehead. We top it with Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and Grill it on the Traeger Ironwood 885!

That is a sweet grill. Unfortunately apartment life doesn't allow me to use one in my living room. The fish looked yummy too.

I am so going to make your lowcarb cauliflower mac and cheese. But will use a different cream cheese cause spicy doesnt agree with me at all. That looks delicious. You should make more videos with more of your low carb recipes and more recipes to make on the Traeger. I miss my smoker, but left it behind when I left an abusive relationship. Where I live now, we aren't allowed to have them or bbq's either. Take care and thanks again for showing us another great mental health video. Looking forward to many more.

Greetings from Montana. We have an older Traeger. Great way to cook. Our favorite fish in the north west is Walleye. Ugliest fish in Montana is a Paddle fish. Ancient and amazing but ugly.

@@MentalHealthDay82 They don't take any bait. They only eat zooplankton and insect larvae. Very small organisms. The only way to catch them is snag them with a treble hook by casting it with a one ounce weight and dragging it back across the bottom of the river. You have to know where, during the year, they hang out.

The cauliflower mac and cheese sounds great and I think my wife will agree. The Northern Snakehead reminds me of the Burbot in that we used to catch from Lake Superior and they would run during the winter December and January, they looked like a cross between a catfish and an eel didn't have scales, great fried and a white mild meat. Cooking on the grill looks great. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.

I can’t get past the muddy taste all fresh water fish seem to have. Are you saying that fish doesn’t have that. I also find it really hard to believe that snakehead is better then blackfish or black seabass.

@@MentalHealthDay82 funny how you bring up puffer fish. I was throwing them all back last time I went to Florida and like 2 days later saw a catch and cook on them. Let’s just say I was alil more then upset to find out how good they actually were. I guess I’m going to have to give snakehead a shot next time I catch one.
