Mount Kenya has spoken. We are not slaves. You cannot burden the tax payer in Mount Kenya with punitive taxes to develop other areas when we have our own issues to deal with. That is simply not fair. I don’t know who told these Kenyans from marginalized areas that they have a right to punish the residents of Mount Kenya. We will not accept that. Taxes collected in Mount Kenya will remain in Mount Kenya to develop key sectors under the one man, one vote, one shilling. Marginalized area may request additional funds from the equalization fund, however the money drain honeymoon is over. We will not pay any more taxes until one man, one vote one shilling is implemented.

I dont know why people are against this idea. The DP is absolutely right on this. Let county govrts seek for other means to look for more county funds like universities does. The truth is, the higher the population in a region, the more the taxes generated and ofcourse the more the developments are needed.
