Boston College came back from down two touchdowns late in its season opener to force overtime, but ultimately fell to Northern Illinois, 27-24. Sophomore QB Thomas Castellanos came into the game late in the first quarter for BC and went 13-28 with 3 total touchdowns and 205 total yards. NIU QB Rocky Lombardi’s rushing touchdown and 165 yards through the air were enough to pull out the win.
