Good job! Glad you got through that part of Cali safe. So many blow downs and lots of cows up there. Most people don’t expect cows on the mountains but it’s super common up there. Lol. Thanks for posting.

We ran into the owner of a ranch while in Etna and it was fascinating to learn about the cows!

I would have stripped down and soaked in Grider Creek to get some relief from the heat and probably did it again at the last bridge over Grider before Seiad. I hope your enjoyment of hiking survived the hike back out.
