Relax and enjoy a scenic drive Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom in northeastern Vermont on the New Hampshire border. Known for summer recreation, famous ski slopes, Ben & Jerry's and mostly the leaves changing colors in Fall, Vermont comes to life in Autumn as the rolling green hills and field change color before winter comes. This drive wonders around the coast and surrounding towns of Lake Seymour. Just a few hours east of Burlington and on the western side of the White Mountains in New Hampshire this scenic drive captures the early autumn colors as fall begins to paint the trees.
The foliage of the Green Mountains in Vermont draws leaf peepers from around New England, the northeast, and the United States. The rolling green hills, famous maple syrup stands, and stunning rivers demonstrate the beauty and simplicity of Vermont making it a perfect fall destination for tourists, travelers, and everyone in between.
I hope you enjoy the quiet comfort of fall foliage on an Autumn ride through the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. The purpose of these videos is to bring some relaxation or showcase tourist destinations in their natural state without music or narration allowing the location to be the character. Please comment below if you've visited, hope to visit, or found some anxiety relief or stress relief from taking a few minutes to travel with me.

WoW! When I was teaching at Middlebury College 2000-2015, I often drove around the state and did get up into the Northeast Kingdom a few times. It was a long stretch so I never went further than Newport. So, this drive is a new experience for me. And a wonderful one! Thanks for sharing!

If it makes you feel better this is actually a little closer than Newport! So you made it further lol The gas station I started from is on the very far edge of Newport and heads southeast from there.

What do you think of the news of the road going by (the) Sleepy Hollow Farm being closed off to tourists?

Extremely disappointed. I was hoping to go that way in the next week or two when the foliage came a little further south

Wow, again. Check the number of red cars in the second half of this trip. When I was in Vermont I noticed more people had red cars than one would see in other parts of the country, with an average of 20 or so per hundred. I once counted 32 out of 100 in downtown Middlebury. I was told that this was so that others could identify your car more readily in the snow. Well, recent trips in Vermont have made it unusual to have more than 10 per hundred. It looks like people in the Northeast Kingdom, in some towns at least, are still adhering to the idea of having red cars. And, for someone who has had several red cars in my life, Hooray for you!

I never knew this! I'm hoping to make it back to VT one more time before the fall colors pass and will absolutely take note as I drive. Might have to add a counter in the corner 😂
