What can we expect from this series?

It always made sense to me that Awdry's North Western Railway should have some sort of connection to the London and North Western Railway not just by name but also because the LNWR was grouped into the LMS and which it does serve the closest station geographically located toward Sodor. Seeing all of these different engines here, I'm very interested on seeing how this Sodor will turn out!

The LNWR makes alot of sense to be involved with Sodor somewhat.

Quite an interesting start to the series. Even if this was an info dump, I still enjoy seeing what changes were made for your in-universe version.

I'm excited to see where this goes. Nice use of Wayside Works locos.

This is a really cool visualisation of Sodor!

Didn't think that the narrow gauge lines would get such a change in engine's. The SKR is no longer based on the Talyllyn, with the MSR having a double Fairlie. It's a unexpected, but interesting change. And it's your version of Sodor.

Seeing Skarloey and Rheneas as anything other than Fletcher-Jennings locomotives will never sit right in my head. To me they will always be the twins of Talyllyn and Dolgoch.

will be very interesting to see when the electrics come into play and the mid sodor closes. and the possibility of electrification of the whole line coming into play after WCML electrification (unless the line wasn't 25kV AC which could ad drama for the old eclectics potentially being in a worse position for replacement than the steam engines) .

Interesting that the S&M had that furness 0-4-0. maybe in this universe that one is the engine that gets sold to the barrow hematite steel company and becomes their number 7 after being converted to a tank engine instead of furness railway 20. Then you've got a character that can talk about lore of the early railway to later characters.

I loved this. I also like how you did follow some the main RWS lore but added your own twist to it too

Really like your own canon, this looks like it's going to be good.

Amazing as always. Always love the world building you put in these kinds of videos. Also funnily enough i also had a version of a Ballahoo and Norramby railway that also had the same route of Vicarstown, Ballahoo, and Norramby. But it was formed in 1865 in my own au.

Amazing work Dark!!! I love the level of detail and lore involved here and the subtle tweaks you’ve made to fit it within your own universe yet remain true to the spirit of the RWS. The landscapes of the routes you have built are extremely well done, and the reskins and models used are also superb! I especially love the choices of the engines of the S&M to handle the line’s traffic, and the Norramby and Ballahoo Railway is also a very nice touch. Can’t wait to see more soon!

Thank you! Though most of the credit for the route rightly goes to Glennock Creations who buily it originally, ive just reworked some scenery mostly so I am most appreciative of their work, without which I wouldnt have started Nzw. 👍

You fared really well with the lack of realistic thomas and friends narrow gauge engines! Well done (personally I would just given up if didn't find much)

Will we see 257 and Eustace in the series since they've gone to the NWR.

This is probably going to be a good series saying from what he's already produced but I thought the far North of the island had been removed because of all its unused land.

The only thing that was up there, was the Cronk & Harwick, being a tramway in the end with horses. Glennock Creations didn't create absolutely everything on the Sodor map. Only thing I don't like is changing Toby to be a regular loco, it does just make his reason for being on the island null and Awdry included him from living near the W&UT and having rides like the Fat Controller did

1. Toad will still be called Toad. 2. TV show is not canon. Thiz is an adaptation of 'The Railway Series', not TTTE. 3. There will be eventually.
