I think some of the 20mph speed limits on the fringes of built up areas could be reviewed but in the main it hasn't made much difference.

Just driven from Reading, back home to Pembrokeshire, no motorhomes or caravans. Very noticeably less traffic!! Everywhere seemed a lot quiter.

Vote for Labour, life becomes laborious. Look at ANY Labour stronghold and you'll see an excess of poverty, decay, deprivation, criminality, theft by taxation and weird fines. You get what you vote for.

As an English family we're trying to visit every European country, even though we're only 2.5 hours from Wales, the 20 mph has put us off.

great vid glen and memories towyn use to get packed out near the easter the roads were full of traffic remember coming back from llandudno on the bus it took ages to get back to towyn dave

We live only 20 miles from the North Wales border. Not been that way since 2022 - finding destinations closer to home in the Peak District. Less spare cash now. 😥

Cardigan Bay area was very busy particularly Cardigan unfortunately, as I do my shopping there. Indifferent weather but plenty of tourists, the speed limits have made no difference.

I agree too. What people like to be seen to be saying, and what they actually do, are often very different things.

I have always been somewhat wary about driving in Wales due to what many consider to be a draconian speed policing policy. But now I won't go there at all. Their loss.

Absolutely.. although there wasn’t much evidence of a boycott over the weekend, I’m sure there must be many staying away .. mainly those who already have 10 points on their license !!

You mean we’ve asked people not to speed through our towns and villages? They still do, but now they’re doing 35mph in a 20mph zone instead of 50mph in a 30mph zone. You know there are a lot of 20mph zones in England and Scotland too right? It’s not peculiar to Wales.

No speeding tickets, but to be honest I totally forgot about the speed limits anyway. From what I noticed no different apart from when driving through the smart little villages. I would say parking is a major issue in Rhyl as I could only find pay and display. Hopefully this won't put the holiday makers off this summer 😮

A relief to hear your speed fine free 👍. Yeah I can’t think of anywhere in Rhyl that is free to park anymore. Supermarkets offer around 2-3 hours but no good if you’re here for the day .

Been 4 last summer's landudno 2 a year no more . Shame me and the Mrs loved it.

I don't mind the 20mph limit but when I last visited wirh my motorhome the speed humps were everywhere and meant dropping to a few mph so often I won't go again , shame I love Wales .

I'D BE AMAZED IF THEY DIDN'T STAY AWAY. IMAGINE TOURING WALES IN THE RAIN, AND CREEPING ALONG AT 20MPH.----ARE WE THERE YET DAD? NO, NOT TILL WEDNESDAY.

As expected the 20 limit has made no difference. Not the greatest weather (lots of coats) but Towyn seemed pretty active and Llandudno and Conwy were packed. I think people have realised a couple of things although it took time: Most roads in Wales are free of the 20 limit and ravelling time has remained close to the same for nearly all journeys.

@@BusDriverWalking We went over to South Stack near Holyhead on Friday and it absolutely lashed down on the way, traffic was bit slow in the usual places but didn't stop entirely, but when we got there it brightened up and it was okay apart from a cold wind, it wasn't too busy either.👍

I live in Wales, it’s made zero difference to the time it takes to get anywhere because 20mph zones are only in place where they’re needed, just like in England and Scotland. Idiots are still speeding through villages, especially motorcyclists, but it has slowed them down, so hopefully we’ll see fewer accidents.

Oh dear, people's lives apparently have been completely disrupted because the poor dears have to drive a little slower in a few places.

I won't be traveling to Wales ANYTIME soon id be fcuked to be stuck at 20mph - Drakeford needs to be locked up this 20mph dictatorship move is a Labour vote looser imo.
