I have been told that alcohol effects one more intensely while flying. That being said, there is no excuse to be drunk on a plane, car, rv, park, what have you. It's in poor taste and could be the difference between life and death. People should do this bare minimum for their fellow man.

As a former airline employee, when passengers mix alcohol with pills onboard, it can get intense. Plus passengers have been known to sneak alcohol onboard in their carry-on so they dont have to purchase it or risk being denied drink service. Those are usually passengers who are alcoholics to begin with.

This is what has to happen! While that 'bird' is on the ground, the pilots and staff ARE NOT GETTING PAID. Thousands of dollars are being lost which is passed on to everyone else. So yeah. These smucks needs a hefty charge. It still won't convince them they've been in the wrong but at least cover what's being lost.

I'm not a teatotaler but it seems to me that airport bars and in flight alcohol are a bad idea. While most people can handle it there are too many people who clearly can't. I think they'll either need to do away with them or require a breathalyzer test and a 15 minute wait period before each round.

I wouldn't miss alcohol at the airport or on the plane either. They started serving alcohol at Six Flags some years ago. When you have alcohol you usually have trouble. My stepdad served alcohol at his store and there were a lot of fights. A man my mom worked for would allow customers to have a couple of drinks at the bar while they waited for a table. If they weren't eating he would tell them the tavern is down the street. This is a restaurant.
