Brilliant video. I travelled the line in the opposite direction from Uttoxeter heading for home in Bolton around 1956 with my parents. My main memory was having to walk between stations in the rain at Macclesfield.

Great piece of history on film. My Father worked on the tracks at Rudyard following his demob after WW2 and my son and I often walk this now disused line. Thank you for posting this video.

Big con of the Railway board to say oakamoor tunnel was collapsing. 57 years later it hasn't done so.

I always thought engine drivers weren't allowed to wear glasses ??
