As a mandarin speaker who also understands japanese and some basic korean, it is intriguing to see someone experimenting on applying "hundok (훈독(訓讀), somewhat analogous to kunyomi (訓読み) in japanese)" on hangul-hanja mixed writing. Although some applying results may look confusing (for example, excessively keeping the final syllables on nouns like 노래 -> 歌래, 어버이 -> 父이, 자랑 -> 誇랑, while some japanese nouns also keep non-conjugating okurigana like 勢い but much less common), it's still fun to see the possibilities.

No, learning Hanja is compulsory in DPRK high schools though they seldom use in daily lives, while it is an elective course in ROK high schools.

That isn’t true, school children in North Korea are taught hanja, possibly even more then South Korea probably

@@wanderingson I never said it wasn’t taught in North Korea, I said it wasn’t used in North Korea. In South Korea it still retains some limited usage in newspapers, signage, etc.

​@@mike48084 That is absolutely true. It would be much simpler to communicate. However, Koreans tend not to use Chinese characters for words that are already very clear and are unlikely to be confused with similar-sounding words. I thought that '은혜(恩惠)' and '자애(慈愛)' were pretty straightforward. Nevertheless, substituting them would still be grammatically correct; it's just not very common to do so.

친근's Hanja should be 親近. More over, Korean don't use Hanja for native words

​@@MichelNey1813 basically Hanzi but with Korean localization. Hanja is closer to traditional Chinese than the simplified form used in mainland China.

Just to note, Korean has their own grammar when mixing Hangul and Hanja(Hanzi). This video is wrong in many ways. e.g. in 1:30, there are '父이'. It should be either '父' alone or '어버이', as you can't simply cut a word in half. English comparison would be writing father as '父ther'.

The South Korean government disapproves this

00:00 歌謠 (pronounced geyao in Chinese, e as in i in girl, ao as in ow in growl) pronounced in Korean as 가요 (gayo, ga as in garden, yo as in yoyo). So, when 노래하자 is "noræhaja" 노래 (noræ) is native Korean word. When you changed it to 歌래하자 is pronounced "garæhaja" which means "Let's phlegm" according to Google Translate.

It's because Koreans wanted to use typewriters back when computers weren't a thing. Hanja couldn't be typed on typewriters, but Hangul could. So Koreans started to abandon Chinese characters.

한국한자병음이 훈을 빌려서 쓰기도하나요? 아마도 한국한자병음은 음만 빌리는걸로 알고 있는데. 이거는 일본어하고 한국어하고 섞인것 같은 느낌이 드네요. 한자는 일본한자와 형태만 다르고 그냥 일본어를 한국어에 겹쳐놓은 느낌.

Nice work. Thank you for translating this into Korean mixed script. I think this script is much more pretty beautiful than what Korean use now. Hanja has many advantages, such as faster understanding of semantics, fewer synonyms, distinguishing between content words and function words to remove spaces reducing article length, and so on.

Admin tidak berapa pandai, tetapi disebabakan persamaan tatabahasa dan sebutan bahasa korea dan jepun, maka admin dapat menentukan karakter hanja yang bersesuaian berdasarkan kanji jepun.

If you ever dare to apply hanja to vernacular words in Korean like you do in Japanese, 어버이and아버지 should be父, 노래 歌, 자랑 誇. It's unnatural to divide invariant part of words😢 Besides, it's not, 親舊（친구) but親近(친근). 소원 should be 所願. The other parts are yet not absolutely wrong though.
