can anyone explain how it’s possible to get all this footage and post it? everything i research says tourists can’t travel freely, only if you mi e there, and if you move there you can’t leave, and they also don’t have the same internet as the rest of the world meaning you shouldn’t be able to post anything from in the country right? every source in the world also tells you you can record or take pictures or interact with and north korean citizens, but literally every other video i see from north korea has people doing exactly that. no matter what i research nothing adds up can someone just explain i’m so confused lol

I think its like living in Indonesia in the mid 60 - late 90's, with no gulag and more religion. In Indonesia during those era (military othocracy and semi juncta), rebels are donefold, people act exactly like this (obedient and more clueless with outside world) and another difference is that we do have a lot more food to eat, we rarely have famine...

they need special permission from the government in order to travel within the country, most people from there spend their entire lives confined to just that one city. saddest part is their raised to believe that’s a good thing

Ada tapi orang indonesia yang sudah tinggal puluhan tahun disana, ke korut semenjak jaman soekarno, beliau terpaksa tinggal di korut karena di zaman soeharto kewarganegaraan indonesianya dicabut karena kondisi politik saat itu mahasiswa-mahasiswa yang kuliah di negara-negara komunis dianggap bagian komunis, beliau sudah tinggal selama 60tahun di korut dan akhirnya menjadi warga kehormatan di korut, bekerja sebagai dosen disana dan selama bbrp tahun terakhir disana bekerja di kedutaan indonesia di pyongyang, namun beliau sudah pindah ke indonesia karena sudah mendapat kewarganegaraan indonesia lagi semenjak dipulihkan statusnya di era Gus Dur, istri beliau yang orang Korut dan anak anak cucunya diboyong ke Indonesia dan menjadi WNI, beliau adalah Eyang Gatot Wilotikto
