I can understand ...see every person cannot be of one type.. they cant be like u or how u want people to be with u . Simply they make fun of u because ( they think that because u cant understand hindi they can say anything to u) . Even though here What telugu people say to us we don't understand like if they r giving us slanks also we r not able to understand likewise here some north people also give slanks in hindi to them just because of language diff. And if i talk abt ur skin complexion , dressing sense . Its simple see north people doesnt know abt south culture or they havent met much people from south much.so they cant understand .they mindset is like people who comes frm south r mainly of dark skin colours and all.. So my advice would be dont think to much every where same thinks happen .my skin is too white so here people think that i m not frm north i may have came frm somewhere like London 😂.

@@aarinraj yeah....in south ppl look north indians like britishers...everything everywhere is valued on their own assumptions and no step is taken to try to understand the actual fact. To behave with basic courtesy of not to hurt others , why should one need to understand the other. Even if they dont understand my culture...they should not put me down if they have the basic ethics and courtesy. I think the south Indians are good at those ethics a way better than north indians. North Indians have superlative mentality so they disrespect south indians very easily[based on my own experience] ofcourse there may be exceptions but majority is this mentality. A north indian can somehow survive here in south, but a south indian has to struggle a lotttttt to survive in north.

I am an elderly South Indian of tamil origin. Though I had my education in tamil nadu, my working life was in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Right from early days, I knew very well that I should be open hearted and welcome all kinds of new experiences, even uncomfortable ones, if I ever wanted to work and live in western India. In a hindsight after all these years, I am feeling blessed that I was able to understand maharashtrian and Gujarati way of life, knew many new languages, many friends from these states, ate many kinds foods. I was able to travel widely in these states under the guidance of my friends. My request to viewers is that 1. Don't pre judge new state, new country, new kind of people, and new culture if you want to move out of comfort zone. 2. You must be prepared for new experiences. If you don't have a larger vision, you will bring miseries to yourselves.

Four months is too short a time to pass a judgement on a place. The difficulties faced by the North Indians in the south and the South Indians in the North are the same. The only difference is that the south Indians have a greater ability to adapt. I have lived in extreme climates in the North where people speak only the local version of Hindi and where south indian food isn't available. We didn't complain. We simply adapted ourselves to the local conditions.

I wanna share my experience about moving to some place. I am from TN and deployed in Noida for a project. It was difficult for me initially food, language and culture. Even in a corporate office meeting my peers use to talk in Hindi, which is not appropriate. They often tease/yell at me for asking them back in English. I went to my manager and finally realized there is no point in highlighting this. Later I understood that, I was put into a situation by God. I could manage to learn a little bit of hindi (not bad words), started eating Roti and watched bollywood movies. Since I stayed in Bangalore for most of years, I speak Kannada well.. Be positive, you have broke the barrier and came to explore new things in life.. you have chances to learn 2 South indian language, meet people with different culture. You need to speak English all day which is good for your profession in future and most importantly if you wanna do M.S or M.D in foreign universities. So, you have opened a bottle of opportunities, use it wisely and shape your life. One thing which me/anyone can't accept was, when we hear - "unko hindi nahi aatha" Its not "We don't speak hindi", actually "We don't need to speak hindi". Don't expect from others, Just accept for what they are ! All the best for your studies and profession !!! 👍

It is a myth that South Indians don't speak or don't know Hindi. South Indians are very proud of their tradition, culture and language. Their main identity is diversity, which they want to retain. South Indians are like french; french people know English very well but they don't normally speak unless the opposite person has absolutely no idea about French language. Learn to respect others culture, language and difference and you will get respect back. That is what I tell my North Indian friends in Medical colleges when they join MBBS course here in Bangalore.

Tamil is definitely not derived from sanskrit or any other language. Tamil is the oldest language in this world. Why bjp government ordered to close few remenants found in tamilnadu excavation? Because the floor was empty? We tamil people are watching all the central and state politics played among my civilization. The politicians are devaluing tamil civilization pride. India is not one country. Hinduism is a umbrella formed to unite 2 different religions in sect. saivam and vaishnavam are the only two religion as per tamil civilization. Tamil civilization followed only saivam religion. Which is the reason lot of scripts in tamil literature were writen for sivan. Majority of temples were sivan temple. @Deep-yp7gv3 ай бұрын

I am a bong here i have done my schooling down south and i can say that unlike north in the south you can find that south indians compete among each other to be the best. But yeah this competition is nothing that an avg northie faces while competing with graduates from bengal . See firstly tamilian kannada telugu (except malyalis ) are comparably different breed of humans than me from a bong perspective I can open heartedly accept them and their culture or rather not immerse in it but never utter a word against it. From a student perspective , now if u come to colleges campuses of reknowned institutes like amrutha vit srm manipal (which are located a bit on the outskirts of the major cities )a large majority of the people here are north indians . With that being said it's still alright because making friends with a person who belongs to the same state and city as you won't be the most difficult and South indians here prefer attending local colleges in their townships which have a probability of a good package and infrastructure. Talking about culture barrier in south that's visible in places like chennai which is usually a little restrictive towards anything thats flamboyant wayward to their beliefs.Just like how we attach our assumptions about south indians as madrasi they too attach their assumption of flamboyance with north indians for a variety of reasons. Firstly it starts with our looks especially towards young boys and girls are more attractive than the local guys down south they assume we are indulging in illiicit affairs so there are bunch of narrow minded people who start their moral policing there though most of it is not true. Second of all our usage of drugs alcohol which is prevalent all over north but not in every house Thirdly our tone of language which is taken as rude and annoying no way thats true Fourthly they think we are westernised and all which is not true See even i could make assumptions about them with their looks skin colour food but my values don't let me see someone from my own country arrey he is north she is south i see everyone the same.We may look different our stances and opinions on various issues maybe different but who am i to compare people on these grounds . This language barrier for somebody like me whos lived in kolkata for an eternity still bites but i live with it than fight it. For a moment i distanced myself from anybody who was south indian by saying i never knew english or tamil even my teachers too but that did not help i started learning the language over time i did a language course too.To solve the matter too i think all the private colleges should keep south indian language programmes so that the north indians are aware of the language in which they are spoken .That can also be a great way of curbing down all language barriers But like arin bhaiya you d said earlier with the food and all there are north indian eateries everywhere in south so no big deal just ensure the hygiene's maintained Now talking about the other genuine issues that north indians do face is that the live in relationships nobody in bengaluru or chennai are renting out homes to unmarried couples in the south and single people with children dunno why . This is not a issue in hyderabad because there telugus are a little open minded . People have to give interviews to the respective owners of the houses there about their backgrounds and all and then they agree otherwise no. With that being said i just wanna say all don't look down on anybody for being a south indian or north indian we are all indians .We should be proud of that . We should keep up with everyone's cultural differences .
