I was there at the same time & remember laughing with my old man about the Belgium acrobat comment on that TV show.

Thank you so much for the nice video. Cyprus is so beautiful and one of the safest countries ever with almost 0 crime rate in North Cyprus.

Umm, yeah there are barely any busses in north Cyprus, it’s very hard to do anything without a car 💀💀💀

So wish we got to that side, but the Russian incursion started the day we arrived and we were a little gun shy. Next time I will have to get over there. Love the energy and info, so, subed to see more and support your growth. The south was epic. We loved Cyprus and finally have our videos coming out. If you want to see where anthropologists and adventures loved to see on the Island, we would love to share it with you. Keep up the great stuff and we look forward to seeing more of your vids in the future. - Turtle and Bear

thks! Yh remember being in Cornwall when the news dropped last year ...not exactly the most volatile geopolitical hotspot ever! 😆 but spent the day seeing all the standing stones & tombs before getting back in the evenings and having a low-key meltdown wondering if the nukes were going to start falling any moment 😰😰 very strange time looks like you got some good weather for a february trip!

i mean yes, i did kind of assume with more local knowledge & experience we could've got a cheaper ride but after 2 hrs of going in circles on a hot afternoon, we took the nuclear option - there weren't all that many cabs around & while i don't deliberately draw too much attention to myself when travelling - we might as well have had big red stickers on our foreheads saying 'TOURIST' ...which doesn't put you in a very good haggling position

No suprise that the greeks wouldn't let the driver through despite the correct paperwork. Always trying to be awkward and upset the balance of the island.

Cry 😂 You should have thought this before seizing so called Cyprus Republic. It was a state where Turks and Greeks have equality in politics and balance according to the population. Fair enough. However Makarios decided to seize all island and annex Greece. Failed coup and results. Better you face with your own mistakes. Turkey is a guarantor state and intervening is legitimate.

The island belonged to both Turkish and Greek Cypriots. Until your people got to greedy and wanted it all for themselves and tried to ethnically cleanse the island, then it back fired and the Turkish Cypriots ended up taking land instead. It’s called Karma.
