I’m 30 and this was the most stressful Carolina game I’ve ever watched. Ohio in the Sweet 16 (2012) was stressful, but not like this lol

the Iron 5 had a greeat run. Beat a #1, a #4, a #2 and almost another #1 in Kansas. Legendary tournament run and one of my all time favorite Carolina teams. Hadn't enjoyed a run this much since 2003

@@MrBmick79 Yes me too.....no one thought much of the Tar Heels.....and they were even seen as a bubble team to make the NCAA tournament......but when they won at Duke at Coach K's final game at Cameron......as former Blue Devil Jay Bilas put it so well during his commentary of the game ....."The conversations of the Tar Heels not making the NCAA tournament are OVER".......of course I don't think anyone could have predicted what was to come.....beating Baylor was just the beginning of the memorable moments : )...such and incredible run to the Final Four......and beating Duke in the Final Four, where they had never met in the tournament, for Coach K's final game...just couldn't script it any better than that....One I will always remember.

@@stuarttaylor2107 they were severely underseeded...but that game against Wichita State is one of the best start to finish tourney games I've ever seen. Time has revealed that isn't one of the best UK teams by comparison.

Blood pressure went up this game not so much for against Kansas because the experience they already had but it's impressive we gave them a run

This was actually the first basketball game I watched, I walked in when my momma ( a lifelong diehard Tar Heels fan ) and watched about the final 3 minutes of the first half and I was hooked. So grateful for this game and the impact it has on my life. Bacot, Davis, love, black and big ole Manek made basketball a thing in my life

I hope unc can bring you the thrills its brought me over the years. I remember my first col basketball experience. Back then unc and NCstate were big rivals. Back early 80s when state was really good. Then of course the 90s came and duke and unc became bitter rivals.

Also Manek's elbow was worse than I initially thought, watching the play in live time. It wasn't an F2, but it was still unnecessary.

The fact that Baylor is going to be even better next year is insane

UNC blown a 25-point lead in the 2nd half of this game and held on. They’ve blown a 16-point first half lead in the national championship game against Kansas and it came back to bite them in the end, but Hubert Davis has done a great job of keeping this team together despite early growing pains

The difference between this game and Kansas was that the Brady Manek ejection was an absolutely atrocious call, which then got into UNC’s heads and Sochan got in their heads, but Kansas, hero ball, injuries, and running out of gas and not knowing how to handle pressure killed them

pretty wild that this round had both KU and UNC at this tournament session. As a Roy Williams fan, I find it funny that other than the 2012-2014 Shockers, this was my favorite run by any collection of players since the 02 and 03 Jayhawks

Need the UNC vs Marquette first round game too. My DVR deleted all the games. I need all games from the run an there is nowhere I can purchase them or get them on demand so I just have to hope they post them all.

Wow unc had a great team up 24 in this game too but non scorers when love was off the floor other than Davis

1:14:46 that was very obvious over the back by Baylor, they were wanting a Baylor come back.

So glad Heels were able to hold off Baylor, especially crybaby Sochan!!

The highlights don't give justice to how poorly officiated this game was in the second half. The Manek ejection at 58:50 was just the start. Additionally, the over-and-back call at 1:07:07 should've been called against Myer for literally pushing Love over the line while not being set. These officials called ever nick nack and even some calls out of thin air. Just an awful look especially given how cheap Sochan played.

A whoopin'! If I remember correctly Carolina almost epically blew a 25 pt second half lead and yes Brady Manek's ejection didn't help matters! But what most forget is Carolina had a decided advantage going in because Baylor played the last several weeks of the season without two of their leading scorers leaving them with just seven guys so Carolina coming out and pounding them early wasn't a surprise! They took advantage of Baylor's health! Yet Baylor still took Carolina to OT! Had the basketball gods not been in full operation, Carolina wouldn't have advanced thru that East Regional! Baylor depleted, UCLA depleted and St Peter's taking out both Kentucky and Purdue! The planets aligned perfectly to benefit them

Dont matter where its being played at quit crying around because you guys almost choked the biggest lead in tournament history. Glad my Jayhawks beat UNC for the biggest comback in national championship history 🤷🏾‍♂️💪🏾

I highly doubt that, Funniest ever! Not only did Carolina almost choke away an epic lead then, they did it against a depleted Baylor team at that! What people have acknowledged very little not only before the game, during and after was that the Bears we're without two of their three starters/leading scorers so Carolina had no excuses! I've said all along had Baylor been completely healthy we're talking a totally different NCAA tournament complexion last season!

And also had UCLA been completely healthy they too could have eliminated Carolina! Still they almost did! The Tar Holes were extremely fortunate as the basketball gods aligned the planets for them! Everything that could have happened in that '22 East Regional to benefit Carolina did

Sports writers didn't do anyone a favor by Underestimating Carolina Tarheels. (Also by overestimating Duke every year} The announcers always underestimate UNC at the beginning of the game. No winner is determined by who scores first. These announcers fail to mention UNC has 13 points turnovers from Baylor while they praise them for being only 10 points behind. They have never seen UNC play before.

literally watching every minute of Sochan in this game after Spurs drafted him. imo, bears could've pulled the upset if they remained disciplined with those silly fouls

Terrible offense the last half of the game for unc. They ran out of ball handlers. Couldn’t run there offense

"Deserved to" is strong statement. "Expected to" makes more sense, because they looked like the better team 2nd half. However, Thamba and Mayer were hanging on during that comeback with 4 fouls. They finally got their 5th fouls each in overtime, giving UNC momentum back
