Addison you're so wrong. You see, he's like maybe the third or fourth cousin and he never talked to them. He said! (kidding of course... you're right! Maggie, I'm so sorry for all that you've been through and all that's still to come. I was 13 when my aunt (who was like a 2nd mom to me) was murdered but it was ruled a suicide. We fought so hard to get the case reopened and had found so much evidence to prove she was murdered but the police and investigators just wouldn't give us the time of day. Trust me when I tell you that I understand what that does to you, to your life. All the time we spent investigating a death that the police shouldve investigated from the beginning is time stolen from us that we'll never get back. The man who killed my aunt did more than commit murder, he hijacked our lives and basically cursed us to an existence of obsessively seeking justice. We stopped living normal lives because it seemed so wrong to go on doing normal things knowing there was murderer roaming free while my aunt was dead. I hope you have found some peace in all of this and I hope you all get the justice your dad deserves.

The detective just doesn't care. You can tell by how many times he made disparaging remarks about drug addicts. He obviously views them as "lower class" citizens. He's a smug, self satisfied jerk. He didn't do his job for this family because they weren't rich. He picked the easiest point of view and made the evidence fit, but I don't think he went out of his way to cover anything up. He's a sloppy cop..and probably on a major power trip. The fact that the detective was allowed to work the case when a family member could possibly be involved is unethical.I want to know what type of pull the detectives family has . The way his body was found is cause for concern when his arm is behind his back. I wish someone other than that department would exhume his body because I think that he did die of an overdose but I don't think he OD'ed himself.I think someone held his hands behind his back and shot him up and he that department is covering up for the relative of the detective

He keeps putting all the steps he didn't do , the search, the strange way Hank was found and dressed, the fact his girlfriend used the phone, not searching the car thoroughly luminol and dna, probably not searching the house either, his reason everytime? They were drug addicts, who knows why they act in certain ways. It shoohes biased from the start, neutrality should be the most important quality of a detective, I mean it's like having a racist detective investigating the strange circumstances of the death of a black man.

Sounds like out there in the mountains where people might not have much, but sure do have hard core love for family, and the law just kept on acting prejudice against all and every situation as a drug thing "I don't know why ppl do what they do when there on drugs" he must have said that like five times during the interview, he had no reasoning for anything because he knew it was a drug house, and he just didn't care. He just expected did it all had to do with a classic basic overdose. But come on now he was barely not far in the woods, the way he was dressed was crazy compared to what the girlfriend said. But like the cops said, who knows what the truth is because they're all drug addicts and high. That's his answer for everything. So to him nobody's reliable, and even his cousin that was in the house, which probably made him jump and freak out and just forget about the case to keep his cousin out of trouble. That's what it sounds like. Sounds like backwards country law doesn't think the rest of the world will ever see we're here they're crappy way of treating a case properly.

And just maybe justice will be served on the big judgement day. He may have harmed himself but he just might have had harm done unto him. How do we know he really walked off in the woods?
